The famous film "The meeting place cannot be changed" was watched, if not by everyone, then by many. In one of the episodes, Volodya Sharapov came to an event dedicated to the celebration of the October Revolution, hung with front-line awards. But in the novel (book version) and in the film, the awards do not match. How did it happen that the valiant scout in the cinematic version was deprived of awards?
If we compare the book by the Weiner brothers "The Era of Mercy" and the film by Stanislav Govorukhin, then many inconsistencies with the awards of military officer Volodya Sharapov are striking. One gets the impression that instead of the insignia listed in the book, Konkin's hero was hung with the available props.
1. What's wrong with Sharapov's orders in the cinematic version
The first difference from the book is that the hero has only one Order of the Patriotic War (the book had two). The same thing happened with the Red Star, and the medals are not the same. In Sharapov's film, we see the medals "For the Liberation of Prague" and "For the Defense of Leningrad". It turned out that he visited almost all fronts. The props simply chose the most suitable rewards, and no one was particularly worried about the result.
But this is not the saddest thing either. The film came out inconsistent with the Polish awards. According to the novel, Sharapov had a medal and a Polish Virtuti Military cross.

As for Virtuti Military, this award is present, and Sharapov could have been awarded it. But she doesn't look right. The ribbon itself is correct and corresponds to reality, and although it was hung with a Polish award, but of post-war times, namely the order of the third degree "Cross of Merit".
In fact, this is another film blunder that is present in many films out of ignorance or because one of the responsible persons overlooked something. The movie itself doesn't get any less interesting.
