The Golden Hectare variety develops ideally on loam fertilized with organic matter.

Apply fertilizers in the fall for digging. per sq. m add ½ bucket of rotted manure, humus or peat. Acidic soil is not suitable for growing cabbages. If necessary, the soil can be deoxidized with lime (0.5 kg / sq. m).

Growing seedlings

Before planting, the seeds are placed in a salt solution (3%). Quality grains sink to the bottom. Then they are washed and pickled in a weak solution of potassium permanganate. Seeds should be germinated before sowing by placing them in damp gauze. It is advisable to use a purchased substrate for planting.

Sowing is carried out in the last decade of March or early April. In May, seedlings can be planted in the ground:

  1. Wet earth is poured into the container, grooves are made at a distance of 5 cm from each other.
  2. An interval of up to 3 cm is made between the seeds, a thin layer of soil is poured on top.
  3. Irrigate crops from a spray bottle and cover with a film.

The containers are placed in heat, after about a week shoots appear. The film is removed, the room temperature is reduced to 15 ° C.

After the formation of 1-2 leaves, the sprouts are planted in separate cups. Approximately 14 days before planting, the seedlings should be hardened, taking them out to the loggia.

Planting and further care in an open garden

Before planting seedlings on an open bed, it is necessary to loosen the soil. The pits should be at a distance of about 40-45 cm from each other. Pour a solution of humus (1 l). Then the holes are watered and the seedlings are transplanted.

As soon as the seedlings take root, a week later the soil is loosened. Approximately 14 days after planting, early cabbage is spudded, and ten days later the manipulation is repeated.
