All gardeners grow potatoes on their plots and sometimes do not know which variety to use when planting. I will tell you about my favorite Tuleevsky potato. It ripens 80-100 days after planting, has a high yield, is suitable for growing in any region.
Description of potatoes
The variety was bred in Russia, registered in 2006.
The bush is not sprawling, about 30-35 cm high. Root crops are oval. The skin and inside are yellow. The pulp contains up to 14-16% starch. The lightness is high.
Ripening terms
The variety is medium early, harvesting can be started 3-3.5 months after planting.

The culture is high-yielding, up to 10-14 root crops are formed in one bush.
Pros and cons of Tuleevsky potatoes
The variety has the following advantages:
- the culture is unpretentious, does not need special care;
- tolerates various climatic conditions;
- possesses strong resistance to diseases;
- forms large fruits;
- high level of productivity;
- long-term storage;
- used in cooking;
- does not need chemical fertilizers.
There are few disadvantages of potatoes, the following can be noted:
- weak resistance to the nematode;
- with a lack of boron in the soil, voids form in the pulp.
Planting and cultivation
The variety must be planted in well-warmed soil to a depth of about 10 cm. The planting period depends on the natural conditions and the area of cultivation. Usually landing is carried out after April 10-15. In the northern regions - in May-June.
Seed preparation
Seed potatoes should be warmed up before planting. To do this, it is kept for a month in a warm room.
You can treat the seeds with Prestige or Epin-Extra.
The soil
The area for planting potatoes should be prepared in the fall. Do the following:
- thoroughly clean from vegetation residues;
- dig deep into the ground;
- add organics and urea.
If fertilizers could not be applied in the fall, then this can be done in the spring.
Correct fit
Before landing, read some recommendations:
- Potatoes are usually planted in the form of furrows.
- The holes are located at a distance of up to 70 cm from each other.
- Planting holes should be about 15 cm deep.
- The tuber is placed in a hole, covered with earth, loosened with a rake or harrow.
Further care
- Watering produced only during the dry season.
- Hilling carried out twice a season: during the emergence of seedlings, during the flowering period.
- loosening perform after heavy rainfall so that a hard crust does not form on the surface.
- Weeding carried out as needed.
- Top dressing. If the bushes are weakened, chicken droppings can be added.
Diseases and parasites
Variety "Tuleevsky" is often affected by the nematode. For preventive purposes, bushes can be treated with such preparations as "Prestige" and "Taboo". During use, follow the instructions provided with the products.
To prevent the formation of voids in the tubers, a treatment with a boron-based solution (2 g / bucket of water) should be performed if the following symptoms are detected:
- flowers fall;
- the buds on the tops dry up;
- stems become thick;
- pale green stripes form on the leaves next to the veins.
The volume of fluid consumption per 1 sq. m/1 l. The procedure is performed several times per season.
Variety "Tuleevsky" is popular among summer residents. The strengths of potatoes are unpretentiousness, excellent adaptation to any weather conditions, they do not need watering and fertilizing with chemical fertilizers. The culture will please with a high yield when all the rules for care are followed.
