Now alkaline (alkaline) batteries are not produced in Russia, but already at the end of 2024, a plant in the Krymsky district of the Kuban will start producing AA and AAA batteries.

A battery factory will be built in the Kuban

In early July, an agreement was signed on the construction of the first Russian plant for the production of alkaline batteries. Now in Russia there is only the Energia plant in Yelets, which produces lithium batteries and accumulators.

Before the February events, it was not profitable to produce ordinary alkaline batteries in Russia, so all Russian brands ordered batteries in China, now everything has changed and production in our country has become economically expedient.

The plant will be owned by AB-Batteries, known by the Go Power brand.

Two production lines will produce AA and AAA batteries. The production capacity will allow to produce up to 230 million batteries per year. The title photo shows a workshop of a Chinese plant with the same two semi-automatic lines as those that will be mounted in the Krasnodar Territory.

Now a site for construction has been allocated, drawings have been developed, and an equipment supplier has been selected. Construction will start soon.

It is planned to produce batteries not only under their own brand, but also under other Russian brands, if they want to cooperate with the plant.

It is very likely that in three years Russian stores will sell batteries made in our country.

Peace for everyone!
