The sellers on Aliexpress promise that this thing has a power of 90 watts and quickly heats up food.
Unfortunately they are lying.
This mini oven is now costs 1155 rubles. The lie is already in the name: "Portable car electric mini-oven for microwave oven, 12 B, fast heating picnic box for travel, camping, food, cooking oven, lunch boxes." Of course, there are no microwaves here.
The mini-oven is a soft bag lined with foil material from the inside, in which a heating plate is placed.
The heating plate is removed. It has a standard 5.5 / 2.1 mm power connector, a cable with a cigarette lighter connector is connected to it.
The plate heats up to 89°C, after which the internal thermostat is activated, turning it on again after cooling by a few degrees.
With a supply voltage of 12 V, the mini-oven consumes 2.49 A when turned on. After warming up, the current decreases to 2.36 A. Thus, the power is 28 watts, which is more than three times less than the promised 90 watts.
In order to heat up a portion of food, a conventional microwave oven takes 2 minutes, while its power consumption is about 1000 watts. Purely arithmetically, with a power of 28 W, the time will increase by 35 times and will be 1 hour and 10 minutes. But maybe a miracle will happen, and this mini-oven will really quickly heat up food, as the Chinese promise? Let's check.
I put a portion of beef stroganoff with mashed potatoes in the oven, which was stored in the refrigerator. Weight - 279 grams (with tray 296 g).
The thermometer sensor is placed inside the puree.
15 minutes after the start of heating, the temperature rose only to 16.5°C;
after 30 minutes - 22.5°C;
after 1 hour - 38.3°C;
after 1 hour 10 minutes - 45.4°C;
after 1 hour 20 minutes - 49.2°C.
It took 1 hour and 21 minutes to heat one serving of food from the refrigerator to a comfortable 50°C in the mini-oven. This is a fiasco!
Alas, the mini-oven was absolutely useless. I can’t imagine who would agree to wait almost an hour and a half to warm up one serving of food.
