Gearbest and Vernee are presenting a new mid-price smartphone Mix 2 with an edge-to-edge screen. As you might guess from the name, the new product offers everything that the original Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 does - but for less money. The official price of Vernee Mix 2 is only $219.

The main feature of the new Vernee Mix 2 smartphone is its huge frameless screen. The display uses a 6-inch IPS matrix with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. A similar one is used in well-known devices from other companies, including the very respected company Gionee.
Due to the absence of frames around the screen, the dimensions of the smartphone do not exceed the size of a standard 5.5-inch device. The Vernee Mix 2's dimensions are a ridiculous 157.8 x 75 x 8.2 mm, while the device is quite a pocket-size due to its weight of 205 grams. The weightiness is easily explained - Vernee Mix 2 is packed with excellent components and a good battery.
The new product uses the popular Mediatek Helio P25 processor, which includes 8 ARM Cortex-A53 cores with a frequency of up to 2.5 GHz. The video core is ARM Mali-T880 MP2 with a frequency of 1 GHz. This solution is inferior to the single-chip Snapdragon 835 platform used in Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. However, Heio P25 will ensure comfortable operation of the device for many more years. The performance is enough for all modern games and for viewing heavy documents.
Vernee Mix 2 can store many applications in its memory thanks to 4 GB of RAM. The permanent storage has a single capacity option - 64 GB. There is no official support for memory cards.
The Vernee Mix 2 platform supports dual cameras, and the developers decided not to deny users the pleasure of using a high-quality camera. The main camera of Vernee Mix 2 is painfully similar to the Xiaomi Mi6 and Mi5X modules. Surprisingly, unlike other available Chinese smartphones, two Sony IMX258 modules are used as sensors: 13 and 5 megapixels. The front camera is based on an unnamed sensor with a resolution of 8 megapixels.
Among other things, Vernee Mix 2 is equipped with a dual SIM card slot and a still relevant Micro-USB connector. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back of the smartphone. Hidden nearby, under the cover, is an unpopular but very useful NFC wireless adapter. The battery uses high-quality Li-Po batteries with a capacity of 4200 mAh. Thus, the manufacturer promises continuous operation throughout the day.
