My friend got married and went to live in the Czech Republic. She told me that there is a shelf crammed with all sorts of products, except for buckwheat. Czechs are very fond of various sweets and sweep off the shelves everything connected with them. She also complained that she could not cook a normal soup (not all products are available for this). In the 80 years of this cereal even gave out coupons for diabetics - as told to me by my grandmother. In Siberia, in those days, this was a great shortage of cereals. My grandmother remembers when received and forwarded to the relatives of buckwheat in other regions of our country. In the 90s, even in Moscow, it was difficult to buy. But now it inundated the shelves even in the smallest rural stores.

Value and the useful properties of this cereal are undeniable: It is rich in iron, light carbohydrates and it has a positive effect on the brain.

Why is a buckwheat nobody heard in the Czech Republic?

Firstly, a lot depends on the soil. In Europe, buckwheat is not growing, and farmers do not grow it artificially in a special soil. Secondly, Europeans used the cereal agriculture as a food product.
