bulk beds
As the name suggests, it ridges that rise above the level surface section. The optimum height of 20-30 cm.
Where this method of organization of the ridges will be useful:

Decoration:

Pros:

Bed-box
This is an advanced form of bulk ridges. Creating a box solves a lot of problems the bulk structure.
Decoration:
- Arm yourself with the necessary materials: pegs, boards, PVC sheets, nails or staples for stapling.
- Put together a box beds for pre-defined layouts. Height from 15 to 60 cm.
- At the bottom layer of stacked grid to restrict the access of rodents. The second layer - twigs, dry leaves and grass compost, a little manure. Top layer - fertile soil.
Pros:
- Better warmed by the sun, and therefore suitable for an early landing.
- The sides of the ridge prevent erosion.
- Peaks easier to maintain: it is enough to loosen, not to dig, weed convenient, easier to carry out irrigation.
- Look carefully, especially if made of the same material.
Minuses:
- Require the purchase of materials.
- Not everyone is able to build them, will need helpers.
- In winter, these ridges best mulch to insulate and cover material, they freeze harder.
warm beds
This bulk of the ridge, since in any case the organization implies the presence of several layers. Chief among them is that causes the greenhouse effect - a layer of manure, compost and the leaf mold. That decomposition processes produce heat.
Decoration:
- Provide good drainage layer! Expanded clay, small fragments of brick, medium pebbles.
- Thick layer of the compost, hay mixed with manure, dung.
- A layer of arable land.
- Cooking ridge can be fall, but in the winter be sure to hide the film to prevent weed seeds and pests.
Pros:
- Ideal for growing thermophilic crops.
- The only option in the northern parts of the country.
Minuses:
- Require good soil moisture to heat exchange processes were active.
- Require thorough rejection of compost, it is important to avoid contact with a feeder layer of infected plants, leaves and twigs.
The main options for the organization of the beds in the garden we talked. There is also a kind of depression (recessed) ridges. They are often used in dry, hot regions. Such ridges help to keep the best soil moisture, are saving the plant from destruction in the heat. But their organization is very time-consuming process, so I met them very rarely.
