Nowadays, most people use laptops rather than a PC, but many do not have enough for a comfortable large-screen full-size keyboard and mouse. Monitor manufacturers have figured out how to make a connection to a laptop as easy as possible.
I went to the presentation of AOC and Philips monitors. Monitors two brands at the same time were not without reason: in 2014, Philips units producing monitors and TVs, the company owned by Hong Kong-based TPV Technology, and AOC - own brand of company. Who monitors AOC and Philips made on some plants and some models of the two brands are identical for "stuffing", slightly differing only design.
USB Type C interface allows the simultaneous transmission of different data (image, sound, USB-connection) and provide power to the devices. Due to this, we provide a simple and easy connection of peripherals to your laptop via a single cable. This cable is charging laptop, he receives the signals from the keyboard and mouse, and it connects to the Internet. From a laptop on the same cable is transferred to the picture and sound.
There was a whole range of Philips monitors, providing a connection. All these monitors have Ethernet connector ddlya wired internet and USB connectors for keyboard, mouse, and other devices.
However, Type C is not at all the laptops. To connect laptops and computers without this interface monitors support Display Link - a technology that allows to transfer everything except the power, the USB cable is normal. In this case, the laptop and the monitor connects a cable that connects to the USB 3.0 port of the notebook. If necessary, charge the laptop, connect the second power cable that connects to a special monitor output.
Of course, you can "old-fashioned" to connect a keyboard, mouse and power adapter to the notebook and the monitor connected via an HDMI cable is normal.
In many workplaces today are two monitors (they can be seen in the control room, "ambulance", and in the workplace designers or designers). Now they can be replaced superwide curved monitors.
This monitor can also be operated as a double-wide screen, and as two independent monitor.

It is interesting that recently began to produce and special monitors for video game consoles (and it was initially assumed that the set-top box connected to the TV).
Connectivity technology peripherals to your notebook with a single cable is really comfortable and very promising. By the way, just to the monitor, keyboard, mouse, internet, and charged today can be connected and some smartphones (their computer power for a long time enough for use as an office computer, a new version of Android has a separate interface for this use).
I hope that in five years all devices (laptops, smartphones, PCs) can be connected to the periphery of a single cable.
