Half of the watermelon which I bought before, is not very tasty and not too sweet. Three years ago, I learned about the way that you can choose a delicious watermelon.
Any watermelon there is a bright spot. This place, which was lying on the ground until the watermelon growing on the plantation. So here is a ripe watermelon yellow spot, while not very ripe almost white. The yellow spots - the watermelon taste better.
Of course, this method should be combined with other known selection methods:
1. Watermelon should be easy - the smaller the density, so it is ripe. Of two equal-sized watermelon taste better will be the one that is easier.
2. Watermelon should "ring". When a light tapping with your fingers should be felt sharp "response" if "response" deaf, watermelon is not worth taking. "Ringing" indicates internal tension, watermelon bursting inside. This is exactly the ripe watermelon, which will crunch and burst when the first incision.
It is believed that more delicious arbuzy- "girls" who have a spot on the opposite side of a large tail. In fact, both "boys" with a small spot are quite tasty.
But about Dry tail - a delusion. Dry ponytail merely says that watermelon stored for a long time before selling.
Once I started to pay attention to the color of the spot, the percentage of delicious watermelon on my desk has increased substantially. :)
