Advertising has achieved his aim: the majority of consumers believe that Duracell and Energizer batteries is significantly better than others. To test whether this is so, I tested 20 kinds of alkali (alkaline) batteries AAA - from the cheapest to the most expensive.
In 2014, I was doing Grandiose testing batteries (ammo1.livejournal.com/573394.html), But it took five years, new brands, and some of the old brand batteries changed.
In 2019 I made some new tests of batteries AA and AAA:
The cheapest batteries from stores Auchan and Atak;
Cheap batteries from FixPrice;
Batteries Lexman - cheaper than nowhere;
batteries Vkusvill;
batteries Mirex.
"Finger" AA batteries becoming less possible to meet in a variety of devices - for the sake of miniaturization manufacturers produce more and more devices running from "mizinchikovyh" AAA batteries. Even devices with relatively high consumption (lights, moving toys, pressure meters) are now without exception use AAA batteries. That is why the new test involves only AAA size batteries (LR03).
Recently, I tested the cheap batteries as early as "the grand testing" found that buy expensive does not make sense. Yet I spent a thousand rubles and bought batteries Duracell, Energizer, GP, Sonnen and others once again to see whether the expensive batteries provide at least some advantages compared to the cheap.
On sale there are AA and AAA batteries in three types: alkaline (alkaline), salt and lithium. Lithium batteries have the highest energy intensity, but they are very expensive. Battery power consumption of salt is the smallest, they are unable to withstand heavy loads and have a small shelf life. In today's test involves only alkaline batteries.
I conducted tests using Battery Analyzer Oleg Artamonov.
The batteries were discharged in two modes:
• Discharging constant current of 200 mA. This load is typical for electronic toys;
• The discharge pulses (10 seconds load, 20 sec pause) 1000mA. This load is typical for high-power devices.
Measurement made with the battery discharge to a voltage of 0.7 V.
The test results surprised me.
Dear Energizer Maximum batteries were the worst, with both the low current discharge, and on a high. Duracell Ultra Power 100 rubles apiece almost indistinguishable from Duracell Turbo Max of 40 rubles, and this is not the best batteries - they finished eleventh and twelfth place in the table. Conventional batteries Duracell worse - they are on the sixteenth place.
In the first place there was Varta Longlife, but cheaper batteries Vkusvill (26.5 rubles apiece) give more power under load and this test can be considered the winner of them.
The best test batteries in terms of price-capacity batteries have become their own brands of retail chains:
Lexman - 8.5 rubles each (available at Leroy Merlin);
Diall - 8.5 rubles each (available at Castorama);
CMI - 9.5 rubles apiece (sold in OBI);
Auchan blue - 11.5 rubles apiece (sold in Auchan and Atak).
Of the good battery, which can be bought in the "convenience stores" will highlight the two models:
GP Super - 24 rubles per share;
Vkusvill - 26.5 rubles apiece (sold in Vkusvill).
I am very surprised by the results of Energizer and Duracell. There is no doubt that all the batteries are original and not a fake: Duracell purchased at Metro, Energizer in Dixie. At the time of the test batteries were not older than one year at a shelf life of 10 years.
Graph discharge at a current of 200 mA. Cheap Lexman and color of Auchan win Energizer Maximum.
GP Super, Vkusvill and Lexman win Duracell Ultra Power.
Perhaps I spend a few hundred rubles, and buy in other stores Energizer and Duracell to re-test.
In the test, there is no IKEA batteries were better in terms of price-capacity in the grand testing. I have not been able to get to Ikea for the new batteries and the ones that I have had (made in May 2017 expiration date to May 2022) have shown poor results - 0.73 Wh and I decided not to include them in the table.
I tested a few copies of many types of batteries. At the table were the lowest results. Most batteries difference between instances is minimal. The difference of about 10% between instances recorded only Flarx of FixPrice stores (0.81 and 0.94 Wh) and battery nameless color of Auchan (0.83 and 0.91 Wh).
The main conclusion of my test: it is not necessary to buy expensive batteries, they are no better than cheap.
