12-volt power uninterruptible power supply (BBP) is commonly used in video surveillance systems, access control, intruder and fire alarm systems, but they can also be used for other purposes.

Even if you do not know anything up to this point of the 12-volt BBP, surely you've seen in the various organizations hanging on the walls of the iron boxes, such as those on the main photo.

These power sources cheap and convenient. By the way, almost all of them are made in Russia.

Inside such block power supply board and place under a sealed lead battery (usually - 12 volts 7Ah - such batteries are used in most computer UPS).

BBP occur with a pulsed power supply (a photo on the left) and with a conventional transformer (right). Most BPL produced with a maximum operating current of 2, 3 and 5 A. Best Buys - trohampernye (they cost about 800 rubles without battery).

So far, the network has a voltage output BBP provides 12 volts and the battery recharges. During a power outage on the network load starts to be powered by a battery.

Though all the gadgets have long used lithium batteries in BBP is still dominated by lead and it has at least two reasons: firstly it cheaper - lead battery 12v 7Ah costs from 550 rubles, and a battery of lithium batteries of the same capacity (12 cans 18650) at least twice more expensive; second lead battery Safety - the likelihood that, for whatever reason, he will explode or catch fire is much lower.

If you are planning to install at home or at the cottage surveillance system, be sure to use a 12-volt BBP: it will protect the system from intruders, turn off the electricity, as well as from normal network blackouts. Do not forget to connect to it, not only the camera and recorder, but also a router, distributing the Internet. BBP is also useful for alarm systems, if they do not have a battery.
