Analog TV is dying. Or not.

  • Dec 24, 2019

Complete shutdown of analog TV broadcasting in Russia moved again. Now they say about disabling 14-15 January 2019, with some versions of disconnect is not broadcasting all channels, but only some.

However, the majority of urban residents will not notice any changes, because the fact that the majority of Muscovites pay 215 rubles 22 kopecks per month, it has no antenna, and analog cable TV. Apparently, no one is going to turn off.

The situation is really paradoxical. On the air for a long time, you can catch the 30 free digital channels, but everyone who is connected "community antenna", they can not catch. The cable for 215 rubles per month, only 52 analog channels and digital channels are encoded.

To watch digital channels on the cable you need to pay extra for at least another 320 rubles per month for each TV (A total of 535 rubles per month, provided that only one TV), you should also buy an access card for 3000 rubles.

Of course, there are many cheaper ways to watch digital TV - it's IPTV, and satellite TV and TV over the Internet, but digital cable DVB-C is more convenient - not require any additional set-top box, all controlled by a single remote control from the TV, switch channels quickly and the picture is not "crumble", as happens with other types of digital television.

The idea is that when a country moves to digital television, cable TV operators have open access to the digital channels that are free of charge transferred to the air, but there it was: the greedy operators are trying to snatch the double payment to the latter.

Now Ostankino tower emits a wild power meter range: 60 kW Russia, 1, 40 kW First Channel, TV-Center and NTV. In this case the transmitter power of each digital multiplexes is only 10 kW. Tower four kilometers from my house, so I have both hands off the analog channels.

It is interesting that all the same will happen after January 15? Are all analogue channels are switched off in Moscow and whether at least some change in a cable?

P.S. If you cut off the "antenna" in order not to pay for it, look at its platozhku. It looks like "antenna" slowly began to "connect" back to those who have it disabled and re-charge a 215 rubles 22 kopecks per month.
