I put on an experiment: almost randomly bought a cheap laptop unknown manufacturer with a very enticing features: matte IPS screen 14.1 "FullHD, weight 1.26 kg 4GB of RAM, 32GB SSD with the possibility of installing a second SSD / HDD, dual-core Intel Celeron N3350, 3 port USB 3.0 / 2.0, and 8 hours from battery.
To work at home I prefer a fast desktop computer with a nice big monitor and sure never replace it on a laptop, but for trips and various ancillary works (for example, to test light bulbs) I use a laptop.
Until recently, I used a 10-inch laptop-transformer Acer Switch 10But my eyesight began to deteriorate, and the 10-inch screen has become too small.
I engaged in selection of 14-inch notebook with a good screen and light weight. Eminent manufacturers asking for such laptops up to 100 thousand rubles, But the sale has many laptops unknown (mostly Russian) brands at a price of 10 000 rubles. Many of them use cheap TN-screens with poor viewing angles, but there are also models with IPS-screen TVs. Most of these laptops are built on the Atom x5 Z8350 processors, but there are also some on the Celeron N3350 (frequency has less, but it is faster). Almost all such laptops have only 2 GB of RAM and a 32-gigabyte non-replaceable storage SSD.
I managed to find only one cheap laptop with IPS screen (promised that with a matte), 4GB of memory, the SSD 32 GB and compartment installing 2.5-inch hard disk drive or SSD-drive, a Celeron N3350 processor, so even with the declared record low weight 1.26 kg. It called KREZ N1403S Travel. Worth 13,000 rubles.
He risked his order.
In fact it turned out that the parameters a little cheated. The actual weight is 1.26 kg, and 1318 g plus power supply unit 108, the The screen is not matte and semi-gloss (as in modern televisions). All other parameters correspond to the declared.
Includes only the power supply (12V 2A) and a very brief statement in which even describes the purpose of the keys at startup, and the way to enter the BIOS setup (had to look at random).
When the laptop is off, you can see your reflection perfectly in his screen.
When the screen is turned on, it reflects only the bright lights.
The power button is located on the top right, just above the backspace. Though I did not once accidentally pressed, just in case I disabled this button in the "power management". At the top of the keyboard are arranged two microphones.
Left charging indicator, power jack, USB 3.0 and Mini HDMI video output port.
The right slot for MicroSD cards, audio jack, two USB 2.0 ports and a drop-down network port RJ45.
Bottom does have a compartment for an additional 2.5-inch drive.
The case is made of black plastic, which is heavily soiled.
On a computer that was preinstalled with Windows 10 Home, in addition there is a system restore to the factory mode. All it takes is exactly half of the 32-gigabyte drive, and the other half is free.
Perhaps many will criticize me, but the first thing I did - completely disable Windows Update. Yes, probably due to their lack of a computer can be a hack, but updates do not score all the little drive and the system will not slow you down.
I have not tested the speed of the laptop works, but the system works quite smartly, Ofiice 2003 performs very well (newer versions do not like me and I do not use them). Photos in FSViewer handle comfortably. Firefox does not brake and internet use is also quite normal. And the more I did not need on this laptop. Over 13,000 I got an easy working machine with a good screen.
I checked the battery life. With comfortable screen brightness 80% (incidentally, the pulsation of the backlight does not exceed 5%) in Excel laptop worked 7 hours and 20 minutes. Charging time - 4 hours.
Observed percent strangeness displaying charge: for 5 hours on a charge level reached to 5%, and then worked laptop More 2 hours and 20 minutes, showing a zero power level. Perhaps with time, charge level starts to be displayed accurately.
The method of "scientific spear" found the key assignment at startup:
ESC - BIOS settings (they are there ooooochen much);
F7 - Boot Menu
F9 - System Recovery Menu
Of course, the laptop for 13000 rubles have flaws - it is made from cheap plastic Marko, he's not the fastest processor, the screen colors are not perfect, but for the money I'm quite happy with the purchase, the notebook has already successfully traveled with me in a press tour and I do use it when testing light bulbs.
