In Samara at Frunze Street 167 is an unremarkable building Samara State Institute of Culture. Passing by, it is impossible to guess that by this building at a depth of 37 meters is Stalin's bunker, a former top-secret during the Soviet era.
In the yard of an ordinary hotel. And under it - the 5-meter concrete slab to withstand a direct hit by an aircraft bomb.
Several years ago, in the courtyard of the house there was a small patio.
Stalin's Bunker, built in 1942 in the strictest confidence (all the excavated rock was transported by a secret tunnel that ran to the shore of the Volga), opened for all those wishing.
Hopper plan.
Cashbox.
Bunker erected by builders of the Moscow metro. Only the tunnel was not built horizontally and vertically.
Tubing as in subway tunnel.
Heavy steel doors.
Corridor the emergency exit (in case the core gets bomb).
Emergency stairs.
And at the top is such a booth.
An electric generator.
The evacuation plan of the ground floor.
During one of the closed doors on one of the intermediate floors was discovered toilet.
It is arranged on several floors exposure dedicated war.
Read this document and imagine how it was terrible to those who received it.
The corridor of the ground floor.
And here Stalin's office. Blue fabric mimics the window.
Desktop.
Telephone.
Personal toilet Stalin.
Meeting room. Right place takers, who were not allowed to turn around and see those who are in the office.
In the bunker there is one, the lowest, technical floor, which is not allowed visitors. It conducts a narrow staircase.
On the technical floor is nothing interesting, except for water pumps, was not found.
Separate door from the entrance to the bunker leads directly to the lobby of the Institute of Culture. During the war it housed the regional government.
Another sign that this is not a simple yard - venting booth.
Secret bunkers in the former USSR were built much. In one Samara, three of them, but there can be only in Stalin's bunker.
p.s. Ufffff. I think I managed to write this post. Append it is already on the plane until the flight attendants demonstrate the safety equipment. I fly back to Moscow.
