For more than 10 years to store peppers I use an unusual way - storage "in the bush". It allows you to stay fresh peppers for 2 and sometimes even 3 months. The process involves two stages:
- Proper selection of pepper for storage;
- Creating the conditions for storage.
1. Choose applicants for storage
It all starts with the fact that you need to properly select applicants for storage. Not all of the fruit can be fresh for a long time.
1.1 Choosing fruits need to maturity
Ripe pepper is ill-suited for long-term storage. It is better to use for food, freezing or canning. We have to choose fruits that have grown up characteristic (For a particular grade) size, but it has not yet become a bright color. (To experience is not necessary, they ripen during storage.)
After you select the desired peppers bushes with maturity, you must check all the fruit for defects.
1.2 We select the highest quality fruit
Only high-quality peppers can be stored for a long time fresh. Therefore, we exclude all the fruit, which is:
- Mechanical injuries - cuts, holes, abrasions, etc ..;

- Dark spots;
- Traces pests;
- Traces diseased.
If the bush has a substandard peppers, carefully prune them so as not to damage other fruit and the plant itself.
2. Create conditions for storage
My method of storage lies in the fact that the peppers are still on the same bush, where he grew up before. To do this, gently pull out a plant with roots and cleaned from dust and dirt. Thereafter, suspended (Or ventilated Collapsible boxes) bushes along with fruits prepared in the room.
