I do not know how other gardeners, but my potato beetle has not scare pesticides and popular folk remedies. This pest as though accustomed to constant war and appears every time as soon as I cease to actively fight it.
We have to look for unconventional and methods of struggle, one of which I'll tell you. This method is based on one of the most popular carbonated drinks - Coca-Cola. It is worth it inexpensive and sold in every store. The recipe is simple, we need:
- 2-liter bottle of the most common of Coca-Cola;
- 3 liters of pure water simple.
It is necessary to dilute the 2-liter carbonated beverage in 3 liters of water. Before you proceed to the mix, you need to release all the gases. This can be done by shaking and opening the bottle a few times in a row.
We treat the resulting mixture of potato leaves. After 3-4 days after such a procedure reduces the activity of the beetles, and a week later disappear altogether.
I especially like this method is that it can be used right before harvest. Apart from that, the Colorado potato beetle has no immunity to this kind of treatment, so it is especially effective.
