I've never fed up black currant, considering that it does not need any fertilizer. All my care was how to raise the fallen branches, mow the grass around the bush and just remove aphids from the leaves. However, the berries were not as many as we would like. Of course, currants bear fruit every year, but the results were average.

Just last year I decided that I should start to feed my Smorodinka, otherwise good yields and can not wait. I decided to solve, but did not know what to fertilize. Therefore, one of the regional meetings of our gardening decided to ask around who and what feeds his black currants. As it turned out, almost no one is engaged in fertilizer currant... However, still I found cottager, who advised me to another interesting and most importantly a very simple recipe. About which I now tell you.

Fertilizing, which I was advised

I'm used to that almost all feeding require any purchased products. But not this one. There need only water and cleaning potatoes. Everything is very simple:

  • 9-10 liters of water bring to the boil and removed from the heat;
  • Add to the pot of 300-400 grams of dried potato peelings;
  • Insist solution until it cools. (Close the pan, zamatyvaem a jacket or blanket to cool down longer).

The cooled solution (But not too cold) you can start to feed Smorodinka. I pour about 3-4 liters per bush, depending on its size. Fertilize possible at the beginning of the season, when the berries begin to appear, and in the end - in the fall. After this procedure, it turns more and currant berries are larger.
