And most importantly, I didn't have to catch them or poison them with any kind of poison. They just disappeared from the house themselves.
Owners of private houses and country houses often face such a problem as the invasion of mice, this problem arises especially in late autumn before the onset of winter cold weather.
Not only do they sneak into the house and "equip" for themselves, they also spoil property and supplies for the winter, sometimes just like in the saying - that I don't eat, then I bite, in their case, you can continue - and leave the waste products (especially in bags with cereals).
I have been working on my reserves for the winter all season and do not intend to give them away without a fight. I found a very unusual method of struggle on the net.
Something new every year
Gray scoundrels, as soon as the first frosts began, settled in the cellar. How do they get there? I myself did it, wherever possible I cemented it, the entrance is hermetically closed, and nevertheless, traces of their presence are visible to the naked eye.
Every year I had to fight in some new way. It seems that mice have intelligence, mousetraps are now bypassed, ultrasound helped only in the first year of use, herbs (mint, wormwood, tansy) also no longer help.
Use poisonous substances dangerous for pets, I have not only dogs, but also 2 cats. So you have to dodge and keep looking for new methods. I recently used Vishnevsky ointment, and was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency. It is an absolutely safe product with a very pungent odor.
Different ways to use the ointment
Vishnevsky ointment can be used in different ways.
- 1. Lubricate rags with ointment and arrange them in the corners, on the rack (if any) or between cans with seaming.
- 2. Soak cotton wool or pieces of foam rubber with ointment and spread around the entire perimeter of the basement.
- 3. Smear the walls and floor directly with ointment. Pay special attention to the corners and corners.
- 4. Dissolve a third of the tube in 5 liters of warm water and wash all the shelves, containers for storing vegetables and the floor with the solution.
- 5. I dig up the flower bulbs (tulip, lily, hyacinth) for storage, and grease them with an ointment solution.
So far, this method works great and I have not seen rodents in the basement yet!
