I will share with you the good old methods of finding wires in a wall.
Method number 1 - looking with our eyes
This option is only suitable in cases where you have not yet done the finishing. You can find the wiring in the wall by a small bulge. If this method is not for you - go to the second!
Method number 2 - we take the receiver
You will need an ordinary radio receiver. Tune it to a frequency of - 100 kHz. Then slide the receiver along the wall. If noise and crackling start to be heard from it, then wires pass through there. I do not presume that this method is 100% effective. However, sometimes it can help out.
Method number 3 - using the indicator
Get yourself an indicator screwdriver. You can find this device in any hardware store. Fear not, the price of such a screwdriver is usually low. Drive the device in the place where you are going to drill. If wires pass through there, the screwdriver will glow. Note that the method works when the wiring is not very deep.
In general, the methods are quite basic but effective. I note that even the most desperate and fearless people are better off playing it safe and finding the wiring in the wall before starting drilling.
