For several years I have been trying to grow a picturesque alley of apple and pear trees on the site. But it was not possible to carry out the plan. Moles intervened in my plans. Apparently, they did not like my version of the site improvement.
In summer, pests regularly dug their passages under the roots of fruit trees. In the spring, the problem worsened. To be honest, these small animals haunt me all year. I tried many methods of dealing with them, but the moles continued to damage the roots of the seedlings.
Fortunately, a solution was found. As it turned out, there is an effective remedy that drives moles away from seedlings. In that season, pests have chosen strawberry bushes. Then I sprinkled them with ashes, I sprinkled the wildest seedlings more abundantly than others.
With the beginning of spring, I noticed that exactly those seedlings that got the most ash remained intact - the moles did not touch them.
Other saplings, as usual, were dug up. This gave me an idea. Now I use ash specifically to fight moles. Since the experiment has just begun, I cannot say for sure about its results. But I hope I win this pest war!
