A shower cabin is built taking into account several factors: the number of people, soil characteristics, materials of manufacture and location. To install a shower room with a metal frame, you will need:
- Pipes (section 2 * 3 cm);
- · Sheet metal (thickness 1 mm);
- · Corner (45 * 45 mm);
- · Grinder;
- · welding machine.
You need to start work by creating a sketch. The booth that we will take for reception is 2.2 meters high. The perimeter of the structure is 100 * 100 cm. To maintain rigidity, three types of jumpers are installed - top, middle and bottom. For cladding the side surfaces, the following materials are prepared to choose from:
- metallic profile;
- cellular polycarbonate;
- plastic or wooden lining.
Cheap cabins use flexible and cheap materials that change through the season. So the cabins retain their appearance without significant financial losses.
The work begins with cutting out metal parts. Four pipes are cut 2.2 meters each, serving as vertical supports. Opening doors will require two more sections
pipes with a height of 1.5 meters. To stop the lattice, another four meter corners are needed. Pipes for doors and side lintels are being prepared of a similar length.Places of cuts are checked and cleaned for welding. Chamfering is optional, because the weld is strong enough to handle the stress. To increase the strength of the shower room, equilateral metal corners are prepared (with a leg length of 5-10 cm). They are installed in all corners of the frame and doors. Square stops (20 * 20 cm) are welded under the feet.
When welding the frame, first of all, adjoining pipes are nailed on one side. Then the structure is trimmed, after which a full seam is placed on the opposite side. When the seam has cooled, you can weld the place where you baited first. For welding metal with a thickness of 1-4 mm, electrodes with alternating voltage Ø4 mm are needed. For the frame, metal plates 20 * 20 cm are prepared in advance.
An assistant is needed to assemble the frame. Individual elements of the frame are welded on a flat surface. The spatial position of the structure is constantly monitored. At the bottom of the cabin, corners are welded, on which a wooden grill will appear in the future. Above provides a structure for storing water.
During the finishing process, the grinder removes burrs and sharp corners. Then the metal surface is cleaned from traces of rust, oil and dirt.
When painting, paints for metal are used. To fix the color, painting is carried out twice. With a single staining, the metal is still visible. For paint, not a pneumatic spray gun, but a classic brush is suitable. Painting takes 1-2 hours.
At the final stage, wood foot grids are made. Then the water storage tank is installed. Plastic and metal containers are used to drain the liquid. Metal containers guarantee tightness and high strength, but are heavy. Plastic ones are easy to install, but they cannot securely fix the point of attachment of the shower.
To ensure that the container is constantly filled with water, an automatic liquid filling is provided. For this purpose, you need a float from the toilet cistern. It is adjusted for a response difference of 20 liters of water (taking into account the volume of the tank).
This solution will allow you to continuously maintain the barrel filling and a constant water temperature. The second plus of automation is the absence of risks of water overflow.
