Bath is a place that requires careful attention to itself. Without periodic airing, stale air appears in it, which spoils the impression of water procedures. It is advisable to dry the bath after each hike. There are three drying methods:

  • drafts;
  • artificial ventilation;
  • oven.

Natural ventilation

Ventilation allows you to get rid of unpleasant odors and prevent wear and tear. Drying includes three mandatory points:

  • opening of all doors and windows (provided that the day is dry);
  • taking wooden parts outside for drying;
  • removing all excess moisture from the floor and other vertical surfaces.

If the weather outside the window does not allow to dry the bath in a natural way, you can use a spiral warm fan. During use, the fan should not come into contact with damp surfaces.

Artificial ventilation

To get rid of excess moisture in the bath in all weather conditions, an artificial ventilation system is being thought out during the construction phase. It involves the circulation of air flows through special equipment. There are several important requirements for ventilation elements:

  • exhaust and supply parts are created at the time of construction - installing them in a ready-made bath is problematic. Therefore, these holes are thought out during the design;
  • the exhaust opening must not be smaller than the supply opening.
Otherwise, air from the street will come in very slowly, which will impede natural ventilation. To accelerate air exchange, one supply channel has two exhaust channels;
  • to further adjust the intensity of air exchange, closing grilles are placed on the holes. The closure option depends on the specific climatic conditions;
  • exhaust and flow openings must not be opposite each other - such an arrangement will make air circulation impossible. The exhaust duct is located under the ceiling, and the inlet duct is located in the floor area.

Correct installation of the ventilation system is important not only for the microclimate of the bath, but also for the health of its visitors. If the ventilation is not organized correctly, then carbon dioxide begins to accumulate in the room, which can lead to suffocation.

Oven

Baths, which are equipped with large brick ovens, dry up on their own in a short period of time. The brick generates heat, which causes moisture to evaporate quickly. To speed up this process even more, you can "help" the oven by creating a small draft.

If the stove is not made of brick, then the owner of the bath will need preliminary preparation, which includes:

  • laying firewood in the firebox;
  • opening the blower;
  • blocking of all doors and windows.

This will prevent heat leakage and allow moisture to dry more easily in an airtight enclosed space.

When drying comes to an end (this is indicated by a dry floor), it is recommended to wipe the steam room with water and diluted aromatic oils.

For example, lemon oil will help disinfect the air and remove mold.
