Choosing a stove for a bath correctly! Criterias of choice

Type of fuel

By the type of fuel used, stoves are divided into three categories:

Wood burning: a common option that does not require gas pipes and electricity. Wood-burning stoves are distinguished by their reliability and inexpensive price. The advantage of firewood as fuel is the aromatization of the room when kindling. The disadvantage of wood is the need to periodically clean the chimney;

Gas: ovens are equipped with a thermostat and a gas safety device. Main gas pipelines or bottled gas are used as a gas source. Gas ovens are compact, warm up quickly and consume few resources. The temperature in them is adjustable. When buying such a unit, you need to take care of the fire safety of the bath and gas cylinders;

Electrical: run on electricity and are one of the most popular types of ovens. They are distinguished by fast and uniform heating, compactness, safety and reasonable cost. The only requirement for such models is constant access to a stable source of electricity. If there are interruptions in the area, then the oven will not work correctly.

Material

Most of the ovens on the market are made from metal parts. The pluses of the metal include fast heating and a high level of heat transfer. Metal stoves are easy to maintain and practical to use.

Cast iron stoves provide economical fuel consumption. Their walls gradually accumulate heat during the heating process and slowly release it. Cast iron is suitable for kindling large steam rooms and has a long service life. The disadvantages of cast iron include heavy weight (a standard stove weighs 50 kilograms) and instability to high temperatures (for cheap materials).

Stone ovens are a luxury item today. They take up a lot of space and are only suitable for spacious steam rooms. The stone structure will easily heat not only the steam room, but also the adjacent rooms. The body of the stove can be equipped with an oven, and the chimney with a smokehouse. The main disadvantage of brick ovens is their high cost.

Furnace device

By design, the furnaces are divided into two large categories:

  • remote firebox;
  • firebox without removal.

The first version is equipped with an elongated firebox, which has two holes - for firewood and for a body with stones. Due to its length, the firebox overcomes the partition between adjacent rooms. Access for throwing firewood is located in the dressing room / rest room, heated stones are placed in the steam room.

The second option outwardly resembles a container in which stones are located. A firebox and an ash pan pass between the stones. A stove with a firebox without removal is installed in the steam room and cannot be removed to another room.

The fire in the body heats up the stones, which accumulate and distribute heat throughout the room and throughout the bath.

Heater device

The stoves are equipped with two types of stoves:

  • open;
  • closed.

Open heaters are considered classic. The stones are placed in them on the upper plane of the furnace. This structure allows you to pour aromatic liquid onto the heated stones, which will quickly spread throughout the room. The disadvantage of an open design is the need to regularly clean the stones from accumulated dust.

Stoves with closed heaters contain stones inside a special container, which is immersed inside the unit and closed with a lid. The upper part of these stoves contains a heat-resistant tank into which the aromatic liquid is poured.. Through capillary systems, the essence enters the stones and fills the steam room with pleasant smells.
