I am sure that most gardeners will agree with me - planting small seeds (carrots, lettuce, parsley, etc.) is a dubious pleasure. First, we spend a lot of extra seeds, then we thin out the seedlings that have emerged from the "forest". It's different, dear potatoes!
But even this problem for resourceful farmers is a thing of the past thanks to the usual plastic bottle caps.
Obvious pluses
With the help of such a simple homemade device, we
- We save seeds and money three times.
- We get friendly uniform shoots.
- We do not waste time on subsequent thinning. (Look at the photo, what beautiful and even rows are obtained :)))
How to save time, effort and seeds
1. We take a narrow board and lay out the covers on its surface in one even row.
2. With the help of small screws we fasten the covers through one, we simply remove the remaining ones - they were needed to maintain the same distance, which, thus, will turn out to be 6 cm between the seeds.
3. We put the board on the bed with the lids down, lightly press. We get holes for planting of equal depth and at the same distance from each other.
4. We put seeds in our neat footprints from the covers, sprinkle with earth.
Done! All ingenious is simple!
My dear fellow gardeners, do not be afraid to experiment. Invent yourself, learn from others and remember: "Summer is a small life!" - for you and each of your carrots.
