Good afternoon, dear guests and subscribers of the "Build for Myself" channel!

This article does not carry any advertising meaning, but describes a new hybrid type of heating radiators, as well as the benefits of combined radiators that can generate heat both from the electrical outlet and from the heating medium supplied by the boiler (mixed type).

Such devices are capable of providing space heating when used both in a general heating system and working independently - as a local heating device (Fig. below):

My father tested such a device at the end of autumn. The first frosts hit and the house had to start heating, as the finishing work was in progress. The heating system of the house was not yet ready and in order not to purchase oil radiators and heat guns separately, several combined heating radiators were purchased. And they were later connected to a common water heating system.

But this is a special case, it was possible to get by with a small fan heater. The main argument for the operation of such devices is the instability of the main source. In such cases, electric heating can be a good alternative to keep warm as a temporary measure until the problem is corrected.

Also, the solution may be suitable if it is already colder outside and the central heating is not running. Usually, such a need arises from apartment owners without individual heating. This is a huge advantage that you do not need to buy stand-alone oil radiators and you do not need to turn on split systems for heating.

In fact, there are not so many manufacturers: Sira, HotEnergy, Tenrad and a few other small companies.

For example, a SIRA heater (not an advertisement). A special heating element is installed directly into the radiator with a thermostat operating from a conventional 220 V socket.(Link: https://sira-rus.ru/bimetallicheskie-i-gibridnye-radiatory/rs-twin/)

Of course, the cost of such equipment is about twice, or even three times higher than the price of a conventional device in which water is the coolant:

Such devices are made on the basis of bimetallic radiators: steel core, outer surface - aluminum.

Mains operation is controlled by a thermostat, which allows heating to start at any time.

Of course, there are some peculiarities: water, which serves as a conductor of heat, is an excellent conductor of electricity, as a result of which it is imperative to provide protection against electric shock. And the second, that the used coolant is not always clean, which affects the service life of the heating element for heating.

But, the manufacturer of such inventions claims that when using hybrid radiator equipment in systems with solid fuel boilers, the system economically profitable, since after a single firing up of the boiler, the temperature of the coolant is only maintained by electricity, which is not costly process.

Thank you for your attention and I will be glad if the article is useful to you!
