Good afternoon, dear guests and subscribers of the "Build for Myself" channel!

The construction of the box of my house was completed in early 2019. The house is made of ceramic block (warm ceramics) and all interior walls are made of ordinary building bricks. After installing the electrics and heating, I invited a plasterer and purchased all the necessary materials: beacons, corners and gypsum plaster.

First of all, the master proceeded to the outer walls, folded from the block. Brick walls are left for plastering for a snack.

And, after the block walls were practically plastered, the thought struck me: "What if you don't plaster the brick and leave it as it is?". In addition, in some rooms, the supporting wooden beams remain open in the interior and it is possible that the brick in combination with them would look very good.

But, I am not a designer and I cannot simulate such an interior in my head, I only get to evaluate something after the fact. Those. leaving the brick - then this business was risky for me! It seemed that it was possible to interfere with the absurdity of the interior, and when the house was already clean, correct the situation and plaster the walls "no ice"!

And that evening I went to the Internet to evaluate such solutions.

Of course, this idea had to be thought over and took time. The master, with his speed of work, stepped on his heels and practically finished plastering the walls from the block.

The idea of leaving the brick was getting stronger and stronger every day. At every opportunity, I scoured the Internet and was oversaturated with information so that my head was already spinning.

The idea that sat in my head to make an interior like these photos:

The main motivation to leave brick in the interior was the following:
1. Saving time: after plastering, you need to putty and glue the wallpaper and this is not one day. If you leave the brick, then the time is reduced significantly.
2. Saving money: you need to spend money on plaster, putty, wallpaper and, moreover, pay a certain amount for the cost of finishing work.
3. Beauty, comfort and warm atmosphere - radically change the mood and this is what we always strive for.

At one point, the decision was made: painting the brick white. As for the plaster already purchased, I was able to agree with the master that the remains of the gypsum plaster he bought from me (cheaper, of course) and moved them to my next object, in total I saved on material - 11,000 rub. and on plaster work - 32,000 rubles.

Agree that already at the stage of plastering, this amount makes you think?... and still there would be putty and wallpapering!

In fact, the use of living brickwork in the interior is a very interesting solution. True, red does not always fit into the overall picture, but white gives the walls a stylish, and at the same time, warm color. White color - fits perfectly into rooms with any furniture and expands the space.

You know, to be honest, I thought it would look very cheap until we painted the entire wall of one room - then I realized that white brick looks just great!

The technology is as simple as five kopecks:

The wall is cleaned with a brush with metal bristles from the blunders of the masonry mixture, then it is primed with a regular primer and rolled in two layers of paint. The first layer requires a careful study of all the bulges and potholes of the backing brick (roller + brush). The second layer is simply a roller. The paint is selected not super white, but washable - usually it is not expensive, and a bucket of 10 liters. - costs up to 1000 rubles. Done!
The entire volume of the walls (1st and 2nd floors) took me 30 liters. primer, 60 l. paints and 3 rollers, which is about 8,000 rubles!

Next, I present a photo so that there is an understanding of what was BEFORE and what becomes AFTER:

Brick wall decoration - finished! To complete, it remains to enrich the rooms with interior items!!!

After the past experience - my advice to those who doubt: do not be afraid to experiment, uneven building bricks with their own texture will always look delightful and unambiguous - better than wallpaper!
