Knowing that building your own house is an expensive pleasure, probably each of us is trying to find loopholes and acquire building material is cheaper, looking for inexpensive craftsmen on the principle of "price-quality", knocking out good discounts in hardware stores and construction bases, etc.
Like most people, I also collected information about the cost of materials and work everywhere before building a house and could already navigate the current prices.
After the final stage of paperwork for a building permit and a working project, I thought about designing the front of the house. Here, you can say "I was lucky" when, on the way to Krasnodar, I saw how bricklayers were building a beautiful house. I stopped near them and found out in detail about the technology, which I want to talk about in this article.
My house is made of conventional M125 plastic molded full-bodied building bricks, which are sold in most regions. Many, looking at the house, do not believe and confuse ordinary brick with clinker, but this is not so.
The facing part of the house came out to me for only 170 thousand rubles, of which:
- 105 thous. - the cost of a brick,
- 65 thous. - the cost of masonry.
The cost of masonry came out cheap, since such work is equated to rough masonry work without joining.
I bought this brick - 9 rubles apiece and the cost of giving a color shade was about 3 rubles. one brick.
Only the front part is tinted with color:
The building brick is processed before masonry, namely - its front part is impregnated with a special colored solution containing iron oxide. Iron oxide is a component that protects against UV and prevents the color from fading in the sun, therefore the guarantee of such impregnations against fading is 25 years.
The whole effect of beautiful masonry is that each brick does not have repetitions, and this is characteristic only of hand-molded bricks or conveyor-made bricks during plastic molding of clay.
Handmade bricks and / or clinker are expensive and the price starts from 45 rubles / piece. In my case, this is not clinker, but by protecting this material from moisture by applying water-repellent impregnations, it will serve no less than an expensive brick.
Bricklayers advise water-based color impregnations only from professional manufacturers, like Tikurilla or Sayerlack (not advertising), which are guaranteed to last a long time and not fade.
Important!
These are not oil paints, but impregnation water based. These compounds do not block the pores of the brick, which means the wall will be vapor-permeable, which the manufacturer will prove if you request technical data on the purchased batch of material.
The impregnation consumption is 5-7 liters per 1000 pcs. bricks and at a price of 500 rubles per liter - painting 1000 bricks will cost from 2500 to 3500 rubles. or 2.5-3.5 rubles. for 1 brick.
