Good afternoon, dear guests and subscribers of my channel!

Now, with a smile, I recall those moments how often my wife and I argued about whether to hire craftsmen to perform any work or whether I would do it myself. I understand it perfectly, I want to finish building it faster, but I also understand that the money saved is also very even not bad, despite the fact that I will spend three times more time on work than it will do professional...

The interior decoration is almost finished, there are minor details and even now I can summarize the costs, breaking them down into the box of the house and into the interior decoration + communications.

As you know from the article about my box costs - it cost me RUB 1,350,000., but I have not yet written about finishing and communications and this is the topic of the next article. But now, I'll run a little ahead and say that finishing, along with communications, cost 1,190,000 rubles. (finishing - 780,000 rubles., communications - 410,000 rubles.). In total, the amount spent on the construction of a turnkey house with an area of 130 sq.m. and dimensions 8 m * 10 m was

RUB 2,540,000

My channel is dedicated to building a house, but construction, to which I give almost all my free time, and during in many ways without attracting experts from the outside, if, according to preliminary estimates, I can complete any stage yourself.

This article will just tell you how much money can be saved when doing certain works with your own hands.

As for the box at home, the steps below are listed below, during which I did not involve builders from the outside at all, but did it myself. In brackets I indicate the amount in rubles, how much the work would cost me.

  • Foundation: trench, reinforcement, formwork, pouring (RUB 185,000)
  • Masonry basement made of rubble stone (47,000 rubles)
  • Porch made of stone (28,000 rubles)
  • Overlapping on wooden beams (117,000 rubles)
  • Chimney masonry from rubble stone (11,000 rubles)
  • Roof: rafter system + installation of the covering (120,000 rubles)
DIY roofing
  • Drainage system (17,000 rubles)
  • Construction of partitions: brick + gypsum board (23,000)

In total, 548,000 rubles were saved.

As you can see, there is no wall masonry here and, of course, it could be done by yourself, BUT! Since there are deadlines and in any case I needed to cover the house with a roof before winter, I would not have time to fold the walls myself - so I had to hire guys.

As for the decoration and communications, here I hired craftsmen only to carry out large-scale work: floor screeds and plastering works.

Below, I list the steps that I did myself and also in parentheses I will indicate the amounts announced by the builders:

  • Construction and cladding of ceilings on the 1st and 2nd floors. (43,000 rubles)
  • Lavatory tiles and corridor laying (51,000 rubles)
  • Metal frame for the stairs (58,000 rubles)
  • Laying laminate (39,000 rubles)
  • Installation of a heating / water supply / canal system (210,000 rubles)
  • Electrical installation (71,000 rubles)
  • Wallpaper gluing, wall painting (59,000 rubles)

In total, 531,000 rubles were saved.

If you add up all the work, you get a tidy sum, which you managed to save - RUB 1,079,000

Construction began in July 2017, completed in August 2020. - 3 years spent.

Many might say that building a home is a tricky thing. This is partly true, but when you study this or that area, you draw conclusions and understand how you can do it, but how it is impossible - the question is more reduced not to complexity, but to painstakingness. As for me, painstaking work cannot be called difficult, because it consists of easy stages, but smeared in time for long periods, so a house with your own hands is not so much difficult as - long.

Now there is a blind area of the house, a courtyard and a gazebo - but here, I will do it myself :-)))

Thanks!

No, this is not clinker. I followed the advice of the master and the brick cost me only 12.5 rubles / piece

The diagonals are equal and the house is uneven. How is this possible? (all options)
