Good afternoon, dear guests!

The railings and railings of the staircase were the finishing touches to the intricate finishing work of the house. There is very little left - hang the curtains and you can enter. Children are already slowly collecting their belongings and are laid out in their rooms.

I couldn't do without a fence - it's very dangerous to walk on the second floor!

And, as usual, thinking that it would not cost me very much, I began to look for a master who would do all the indicated work for me. Found a friend through a friend. Arriving, the specialist measured the entire staircase and rolled out the result to me: "For the fence of the stairs for you the price is 44,200 rubles, but without installation - you will not find cheaper. Installation of about 10,000 rubles. " My eyes widened, I asked to paint everything in more detail and break down where the material is and where the work is.

The situation according to the materials is as follows:

  • Main bearing pillars in painted beech - 2,700 each
  • instagram viewer
  • Beech handrails with painting - 1,400 rubles / rm.
  • Forged balusters - 700 rubles / piece.

Eventually:

  • Material: 2700 x 6 + 1400 x 10 + 700 x 20 = 44 200 rubles.
  • Work: 10,000 rubles.

Okay, I say, thanks, but I need time to think it over, since I didn't count on fifty. The master grinned, but did not argue, gathered up and left.

I tried to find places where I can buy all the components and I succeeded. It took two days for calls, chimes, etc. All I needed was:

  • paint and varnish;
  • beech products;
  • forging;
  • the place where it is all painted and varnished.

Ultimately, the handrails and pillars made of beech were made by the person I went to through Avito - one might say, I was lucky. Good master. I drove with him to the bases where they sell beech timber, then he glued and varnished it himself. The ready-made handrails were purchased at a price of 870 rubles / m2, six poles were purchased for 1200 rubles. behind the post. Made in 2 weeks. Paint and varnish cost me 3,000 rubles.

Further, I went to the base of forged products and bought 20 of these pieces for 180 rubles:

The only thing that remained for me was to grab the installation "heels" by welding and paint the products:

Welding:

Coloring:

Total: 1200 x 6 (Pillars) + 870 x 10 (Handrails) + 180 x 20 (Forging) + 3,000 (Paint, varnish) = 22,500 rubles.

All the materials are collected in a heap, there was only editing, which I spent 3 days on. Next, my montage photos ...

To install the handrail on the level, I asked for help from a neighbor:

The pillars were fastened at two points: in both steps. Below the pin, in the side - a reinforced self-tapping screw.

I fastened the forged elements into the welded heels with self-tapping screws:

Here's what happened after 2 days. The construction stands rooted to the spot.

What do I think about this

RUB 44,200 for material from the master, 22,500 rubles. - for the material, if you are looking for everything yourself. Of course, the master throws it over with a vengeance for all the running around, which I was engaged in, only I have no experience, and the master knows everything - what, where, how.

Also, I suppose, so as not to bother, the specialist announced to me the price of finished factory-made beech products, which are more expensive, and I think he himself does not glue the beech, but only paints it. Therefore, the price is doubled.

As for forging, here I already knew where to go. Earlier, I wrote this article: "Artistic forging" is no longer forging. I was puzzled when I did NOT see a single blacksmith in the workshop. Now many items are stamped for sale:

... one of which I purchased, I think that for a gift.

That's all, if I missed anything in the article - I am ready to answer any of your questions and share my experience.
Thanks!
