Cloudy pool water? Floating chlorine dispenser from 1.5 liters. bottles in 5 min.

Good afternoon, dear guests and subscribers of the "Build for Myself" channel!

Last year I bought a 6 cubic meter pool for kids to splash around. A year ago I realized that swimming pools require regular maintenance and constant monitoring. Chlorine levels must be maintained endlessly with the help of tablets, because if the water is turned on, various bacteria begin to develop, the water changes color and becomes unsuitable for bathing.

This year I collected various chemicals and purchased a skimmer (a device with a pump that takes water from the surface and passes it through a filter). The skimmer is still equipped with a hole in which you can put long-lasting disinfectant water tablets, but in fact, this is not enough. At + 35 deg. - after a week the water began to turn cloudy, I again poured a loading dose of algicide to destroy the fungus and left the pump on with a chlorine tablet for the whole night.

In the morning the water brightened a little, but I thought that I didn't want to drive the skimmer around the clock, and the algicide was expensive, 200 mg each. pour out every time. Now we have the weather: it’s hot, then it’s rain, we don’t want to leave the electric pump at night either, it’s all of a sudden downpour and something shuts out, so I built a float - a floating chemical dispenser, namely a chlorine dispenser, which can float around the clock and perform the assigned functions.

So, we take an ordinary bottle of any capacity, from 0.5 to 5 liters, in my case it is a "poltorashka" and we make several holes with a diameter of 1-2 mm near the neck with an awl, screwdriver or scissors. (5-7 holes are enough).

Next, to put a chlorine-containing disinfectant tablet, we cut out a "hatch" of 10 cm. from the cover:

The float is ready. In order for the tablet to be constantly in water, for the vertical position of the bottle, a weighting agent is needed near the neck, for which I use crushed stone (this is the best option). Place several stones (4-5 pcs.) In the hole and put a tablet.

Done. Can be put on water!

Wait until the water slowly enters the bottle through the holes and let go - the air will not let the float sink!

Now disinfection will take place constantly, the main thing is to monitor the turbidity, the bottom should be clearly traced through the water column.

In an amicable way, of course, you need to purchase a water purity tester to monitor the level of chlorine, pH and dGH, but this is a bit later, so a lot has already been invested in the pool and its accessories!

Thanks for attention!

I really hope that the article was useful to you!
