I have an acquaintance friend who organized his own production in his own garage. Makes wooden stairs, steps and all other components for them, also makes painting and varnishing.
After the metal frame of my staircase was made, I ordered the steps to this person, taking into account the fact that I will carry out the installation myself.
For three months they have already been in my house, waiting for "my editing" :-)))
But, the circumstances changed a little, I did not have enough time for installation and I asked the same friend to do the cladding. We agreed on a price of 18,000 rubles. (There is a ready-made metal frame, it is required to fix the steps, risers, baseboards and boots). The day before arrival, he called me and said that he would not be able to start within the agreed time, but his friend would come to my facility, in his own words - a professional.
Day X comes, a stranger drives up to me and after talking with him, I understand that he is a master and will make me a ladder. I think, okay, in the process of his work I will look at the quality and agreed.
The master, in fact, turned out to be very intelligent, and alone, in almost 2 days, he mounted a ladder for me "not to find fault", but that's not the point ...
After talking with the master, and then with his friend, very interesting news emerged. The worker was given an order by a certain Tolik, who also deals with ladders, but has collected work and does not keep the deadlines. He just came for a couple of hours to check and help my master with editing a little.
But the chain doesn't end there. Tolik took the order from Dima, and Dima is just a friend of my friend (it turns out three intermediaries between the customer and the contractor). In the course of the conversation, it also turns out that this master will receive only 7,000 rubles for his work in 2 days. of the paid by me 18 000 rubles.
The order was made - I have no complaints, I gave as much as it was agreed, besides, the installation was done with high quality.
But I understand everything, I understand 10% of the order, the master can give, I understand 20%, but not more than 50%. Thus, all the people involved in this scheme took a little for themselves, and at the exit, the master himself receives practically a "dummy with a poppy" - even less than half of the paid money!
Construction intermediaries are a very common phenomenon when you pay one amount for an order, and up to the final master reaches a completely different one, while each breaks off a tidbit for himself just redirected the request from the customer to the master.
When you hear about it - one thing, when you come across it - it is completely different, and you understand that the inflated prices on the market are dictated by these very chains of "contractors". In fact, 18,000 for the lining of the stairs is a bit expensive, but I knew that the output would be of high quality, because only the tool of the master is worth something, but I don't understand why this person agreed to 7,000 rubles.
