I would like to start the article with the most important thing - with the purpose of the window. One of the main indicators of window quality, which we are looking forward to after purchasing and installing a window, is tightness. It is she who provides us with protection from dust, drafts and noise.
And the main goal of this article is to reach out and convey to the reader that the function of the supply window valve is the same as the micro-ventilation function built into the metal-plastic window (winter ventilation), only for the device of the "ingenious invention" we, in addition to the window, pay additional money, and we acquire the micro-ventilation function together with the construction of the factory window.
Running a little ahead, for a clear representation of the structure of the profile - I will give an illustration section of the window profile, where the arrow indicates the movement of air for ventilating the room in both cases:
The fact is that the winter ventilation mode is controlled, and when the handle is turned 45 degrees, the entire window frame around the perimeter is retracted by 1.5 mm. from the seal, providing us with an influx of fresh air. After ventilating the room, the window closes and the sash again falls into place, providing all the same factory tightness.
With the valve installed, a 35 cm long external seal section. - removed from the structure, and part of the window frame bordering the street remains open forever and ever, which calls into question the use of multi-camera profiles, tk. cold air already located inside the window ALWAYS, and is separated from the room only by a plastic damper curtain, thickness 1-2 mm.
In addition, the manufacturer of the supply valves tells us that when installing the valve, it is necessary to deliberately violate the factory sealing system of the window (i.e. violate the integrity of the circuit).
In order not to be unfounded, I quote one of the instructions, which shows the section for removing the external sealing contour using a conductor and power tools:
Making a hole (option 2) and / or an incision with changing the sealing gum (option 1) to a narrower one, the any guarantee (even in the most democratic company) - because we voluntarily make changes to the factory design!

The inlet valve is not something supernatural, but an ordinary mechanical device that regulates the air flow using human actions by opening or closing a plastic curtain. This curtain, in the retracted state, simply closes the hole that we made in the window with our own hands! (From under it in winter even "siphonite")
Therefore, there is absolutely no need for a valve, as the advertisement "sings", and the same actions can be done by turning the window handle by 45 degrees. without damaging the window!
In addition, as a bonus after installing the supply valve, we will get a hum and howl from the vortex currents created in the window frame, even with weak gusts of wind!
Air volume
The second thing to pay attention to is the volume of air. For a normal existence one man indoors, the air flow must be 30 cubic meters in hour.
The valve slot is 2 mm. will not provide us with the necessary ventilation, and even a dozen of such valves are not comparable with the section of one ordinary ventilation standard pipe with a diameter of 100 mm. Thus, the air that one valve provides is not enough even for my Barca to live in a comfortable environment without depression :-))), not to mention people:
If you notice that in order to get the amount of air you need, the room is always ventilated by full opening the sash for a few hours or putting the sash in "window mode" for more than 2 hours, because reality no cracks are enough for us! And even winter micro-ventilation is not enough!
