In August 2019, Aliexpress introduced the opportunity to return part of the goods free of charge without explaining the reason for the return. I successfully returned one of my unsuccessful purchases and now I can tell you how it works.
Now, at the end of December, many goods on Ali already have the option of returning. The line "Free Return" is shown on the product dies in the search. The "free return" filter has been added.
Of course, if there is a free return, the corresponding inscription appears on the product pages.
If you received an item with a free return and did not like it, you need to do the following:
Go to "My profile" - "My orders", find the desired product and click "Open dispute". An order card will appear, in which you need to click "Open dispute" again.
The dispute window opens. In the field "Expected solution" you need to select "Return of goods and money", in the field "Problem encountered" - "Unconditional return", in the field "Refund amount" you need to keep the maximum amount offered by the system, in the field "Please provide detailed information about your request" you need to briefly write what you did not like product. Press the button "Request for local return".
After a while (usually on the same day), information for the return will appear in the dispute - the address of the return point and the word free return.
The goods can be packed in an ordinary non-transparent plastic bag without any inscriptions and taken to the post office. There they will offer to buy a postal package from them, feel free to refuse and say that this will do just fine. Inform that you need to make a free return to Aliexpress (aka "easy return", aka "return of SDT"). You are given a receipt, on which you need to write the address that Aliexpress gave, and the word return instead of the recipient's name.
As soon as you hand over the parcel to the post office, the status of the dispute will change to "Awaiting confirmation of receipt from the warehouse."
When the parcel reaches the warehouse (in my case, it took four days), the status will change to "confirm warehouse received".
The money is credited to the card on the same day.
It took me only four days from the moment of delivery of the goods to the post office until the receipt of money.
A free return was made primarily for the purchase of clothing and shoes, so that the purchase could be returned if the size did not fit, but also when buying electronics, it turned out to be very useful: if earlier, when you had doubts about the product, it was better to refuse to buy, now it is enough to find this product with the possibility of a free return and not be afraid that if it turns out to be unsuccessful, money will be lost.
