Lived! Firmware upgradeable cable

  • Dec 11, 2020

What a Chinese engineering thought would not come up with! This cable is configured using a firmware update through a dedicated device. :)

It's actually a good idea. Cable WITRN-PDC002 allows you to supply power to laptops and other devices from power banks and chargers that support Power Delivery technology, but the voltage setting was made quite unexpectedly. The cable is connected through a special adapter to the computer, the program is launched on it and the required voltage is stitched into the cable.

As a result, the cable adjusts the power supply to the desired voltage. For example, 20 volts.

And here is 12.

The disadvantage of this cable is that to control each power supply, it must be flashed again, otherwise the output will be 5 volts.

I read a review of this cable on mysku: https://mysku.ru/blog/aliexpress/78873.html.

The very fact that the cable is stitched is funny. Well, we already have firmware for sneakers, we are waiting for firmware for laces, ballpoint pens and erasers.
