This 80 cent rubbish burned my $ 20 gateway. :(
Last June I ordered here in this store a step-down board with a USB output, which should lower the voltage from 7.5-28V to 5 volts and provide a current of up to 3A.
The handkerchief lay unpacked for a year, and then it was needed to power the Zigbee gateway from 12 volts.
I soldered the wires, connected the 12V power supply, the blue LED on the board lit up. I measured the voltage with a multimeter at the USB connector - exactly 5 volts. Everything seems to be in order.
I connected a gateway that consumes less than 1A, I'm waiting for it to load, but it is somehow unavailable and unavailable. I look, and the indicator on the gateway is off, and the blue LED on the scarf barely glows. Disconnected the gateway, the LED lit up brightly.
I took the airlock in my hands, and it smells of burnt electronics - the airlock for one and a half thousand rubles has come to an end.
The saddest thing is that in the conditions of a summer residence, there was no way to check this disgusting shawl more thoroughly (with load and measurements). What she submitted to the gateway, that he was finished, is unknown (probably just 12 volts from the entrance).
Later I saw that this headscarf had a single comment on Ali: “Doesn't work. I didn't open a dispute over 50 rubles. " I also can't punish the seller in any way - a year has passed.
Moral: when buying cheap electronics on Aliexpress, you need to keep in mind that it may well burn the expensive electronics connected to it.
