I found that MTS at the Go Smart tariff promises to charge Internet traffic at 1 KB, but in fact it charges it at 200 KB.
The support does not even understand what it is about and is outraged that the subscriber requires compliance with the terms of the tariff.
On the MTS website, information from the Go Smart tariff is posted at https://moskva.mts.ru/personal/mobilnaya-svyaz/tarifi/vse-tarifi/go_smart. Below there is a link to a detailed description of the tariff in PDF: https://static.mts.ru/dpc_upload/images/products/msk/Go_Smart_universal_msk_120820.pdf.
As of today, 10/26/2020, this file has a size of 537656 bytes and in its paragraph 5.1 it is quite clear written: "The total volume of transmitted and received data is rounded up with an accuracy of 1 Kbyte ".
But when using the tariff, it turns out that the rounding does not take place to 1 Kbyte, but to 200 Kbytes.
Thus, if a device using a SIM card with this tariff is constantly on the network, transmitting several bytes of service data to hour, three quarters of all allocated traffic is rounded to 200 KB (total in the tariff 200 MB per month, 200 KB x 24 hours x 31 days = 148.8 MB). And if the tariffication was carried out as indicated in the terms of the tariff, only 0.7 MB per month would be spent on official micro-traffic. Feel the difference!
Of course, I tried to contact MTS support. But the support operators are so poorly qualified that they either do not understand what they are talking about, or they answer technically illiterately.
I tried to achieve something three times in the support chat on the site. For the first time, the operator did not know what was the difference between the tariff threshold and monthly traffic. :)
The second time they tried to send me to the MTS salon for a solution to the issue.
The third attempt was a masterpiece:
"Each session is rounded up to 200 kb, on all tariff plans, if you were shown each kilobyte separately, then the detailing for 1 day would be 100 sheets, if not more."
Of course, the girl did not know what an Internet session was, but she felt so right that she allowed herself to answer in such a tone.
An attempt to contact MTS on Facebook also did not lead to anything: the answer was "Alexey, hello. Let's check, please wait. "And disappeared (there has been no answer for more than a day).
I don’t know how to get MTS to comply with the terms of its own tariffs. Maybe this post will help?
