POE video surveillance kit is intended for those who do not want to deal with the choice of individual system components and want to install video surveillance as easy as possible. It is enough to stretch one wire to each camera, turn on and configure the system.

In a traditional IP video surveillance system, the cameras and recorder are connected to an ethernet switch (switch) to each camera comes with two cables - data and power, you need power supplies for the cameras (separately for each or one general).

In a POE system, cameras are connected with one cable directly to the recorder and power is supplied to them via the same cable. A single power supply is used to power the entire system. This reduces the number of components and cables and simplifies installation.

POE-kit including a power supply, four 5MP cameras on Sony IMX335 sensors and a recorder with a built-in 1TB hard drive costs $ 224.36 (~ 16,900 rubles). The type of camera body can be selected by writing to the seller (he is also the manufacturer-assembler). If you choose a 2TB drive, the price will go up by $ 27.44, if you take the kit without a hard drive (if you have a SATA drive), the price will be $ 54.39 lower.

Additionally, you only need UTP cables of the required length (up to 100 m each).
In order to view the picture from cameras remotely, you also need an Internet source (modem or router with RJ45 output).

Such a kit makes it possible to install video surveillance at home, in the country or at any other facility. The cameras provide a high-quality picture of high resolution during the day and acceptable at night, in addition, they deliver sound. I recently did a camera review on the exact same module: CCTV camera AZISHN on SONY IMX335: available 5MP. There are examples of images from the camera day and night.

The recorder provides recording on the hard disk of video from cameras not only by movement, but also by the detection of a person in the frame, in addition, the faces of all people who come into the field of view of the cameras are recorded. A 1TB disk is enough for several months of motion recording under normal conditions.

The recorder and cameras support XMEYE cloud, so live video from cameras and recordings can be viewed through the mobile app. Nothing is recorded to the cloud and data is transmitted only while the video is being viewed in application, so Internet traffic is consumed in very small amounts: 0.1 GB is enough for a month from reserve.

The supplied power supply provides 48V 3A (144 W). This, with a very large margin, is enough to power the recorder and power the cameras.

Cameras in metal cases, they can be used both indoors and outdoors.

The cameras have a 12V power connector, but it is not used. I ordered two dome and two bullet cameras, you can choose whichever camera format suits you best.

On the front panel there is a USB connector for a mouse or flash drive, three indicators and control buttons (but it is much more convenient to control the mouse that comes with the kit).

On the rear panel of the recorder there are four connectors for cameras, a connector for connecting to a home network, two USB connectors, two video outputs (HDMI and VGA), an audio output, a power connector and a switch.

Of course, I will show the "inner world". :)

The recorder is equipped with a 3.5-inch WD Purple hard drive. If you take the kit without a hard disk, you can put any "computer" 3.5-inch disk, and also better "laptop" 2.5-inch (it heats up less and is almost silent) or SSD-drive with an interface SATA.

The recorder board is installed on the right, the front control / display panel and the POE board are connected to it.

The POE Hi-F0422FP_NVR board consists of a five-port switch and a Hi-NVP Power converter that supplies the recorder and switch with a 12-volt power supply.

Since I have shown how the recorder works, I will also show the cameras. The dome camera has a 5-megapixel XiongMaiTech (XM) module IVG-85HG50PYA-S on the Sony IMX335 sensor. The POE board is under it.

In a cylindrical chamber, the POE board is immediately visible. It's called Hi-P06-E.

The lower "floor" is exactly the same module of the IVG-85HG50PYA-S camera, as in the dome camera, and in the one I gave a link to the review above.

I will give a brief description of the cameras and the recorder.

In total, the DVR supports up to eight cameras, four of which can be connected to POE ports.

The possibilities of the recorder are maximized if you connect a monitor and a mouse to it. You can also work with it remotely and configure it (via Internet Explorer with the AciveX plugin or via CMS and VMS programs), but the possibilities will be less.

This is how the main menu of the recorder looks like.

Settings menu.

In playback mode, the tape of the last recognized faces is displayed on the right.

The recorder has four playback modes: normal, smart expert, smart search and face search.

In the search mode by faces, thumbnails of faces are shown and when you click on any picture, the playback of a clip containing this face starts.

Smart search shows post thumbnails that can also be clicked on.

"Smart Express" shows recordings from all cameras one after another, allowing you to quickly move to the next recording.

All these viewing options work only when you connect the monitor to the recorder itself and control it with a mouse. In the mobile application, in the IE browser, in the CMS and VMS programs, only normal viewing works with the search for records by camera, date and time.

Face detection can also be used remotely. The registrar is able to send photographs of faces to the mobile application and to the mail.

The video surveillance system in my dacha has been working for over a year. Thanks to her, I can always remotely check that everything is fine at the dacha: the site is not flooded, the roof is not demolished, strangers do not walk around the site. I assembled my system in parts - I bought cameras separately, a recorder, and a separate power supply for the cameras.

For many, assembling a system piece by piece is an impossible task. POE kit makes it possible to buy everything at once and start the system quickly. In the near future I want to write a step-by-step instruction on how to set up this kit and then the most difficult task in the installation of video surveillance will be crimped Rj45 connectors (although sometimes you can use ready-crimped cables).
