Before, I cooked cutlets only from minced meat - it seemed to me that this dish could be exclusively meat. But, when a large hungry family appeared next to me, I had to come up with various culinary variations of the usual recipes in order to somehow diversify the everyday menu.
Fish cakes, which I got used to preparing from ordinary canned fish in oil, became a real discovery for me. (this experiment with them was carried out due to the lack of minced meat in the house, and, fortunately, turned out to be successful). In this article I want to share with you a recipe for making such cutlets - believe me, they are incredibly tasty and aromatic!
First you need to prepare the necessary ingredients:
Canned fish in oil - 1 can,
Potatoes - 3 pcs.,
Carrots - 1 pc.,
Chicken eggs - 2 pcs.,
Semolina (cereal) - 2 tbsp. l.,
Salt and pepper to taste.
We will use boiled vegetables, so you need to boil them first. Next, rub the carrots and potatoes on a coarse grater, and then mix with eggs and semolina. Salt and pepper the resulting mixture to taste.
Now it's time for the main ingredient - canned food. We take out fish pieces from the jar, knead them with a fork into a homogeneous mass and send them to the previously prepared vegetable mixture. Mix everything thoroughly and get a wonderful minced meat, which is easy to sculpt and does not fall apart at all.
We begin to form cutlets from itafter putting a frying pan with butter on the fire. When the oil warms up, iron the cutlets and fry on both sides until a beautiful golden crust is formed. Keep in mind that these cutlets are cooked several times faster than regular meat cutlets, because they consist of ready-made ingredients - just keep them on fire for 2-3 minutes.
The finished dish can be sprinkled with green tea and served with sour cream, mustard, ketchup and sour cream-garlic sauce - here already be guided by your own taste preferences - cutlets go well with all of the listed options additives.
