Hello everyone, if this is the first time on our channel, then it is created for all self-taught in welding and lovers of working with metal. I will show my way of how to cut exactly a sheet of metal with a grinder, any grinder, small or large.

Sawed a sheet of metal 2 mm lengthwise, sheet size 2500 mm by 1250 mm. He worked as a large grinder on a 230 disc.

To cut smoothly, accurately, and quickly, it is best to use a guide that will keep the blade from moving away from the straight cut.

The best guide for cutting sheet metal is the same sheet metal, you can have a strip of sheet metal at least 300-350 mm wide.

We pull this strip with a clamp along the marks and boldly saw along this guide, it will turn out quickly and evenly.

Why do I use sheet metal and not a piece of angle or shaped tube as a guide?

Even a professional pipe with sides 30 by 30 is not suitable for sawing with a small grinder, the disc grinds off a little and rests against the clamping nut. Smaller pipes will simply be too fluid for this purpose.

And with a sheet metal guide, you can also cut with a small grinder, grinding the disc to zero.

Another minus of the guide from the professional pipe is the obligation to constantly keep the disc of the large grinder pressed against the pipe, if you swing the grinder a little to the side, then the disc can go astray from the path of the straight cut.

Friends, I made a small detailed video with this cutting method. Let's see and everything will become very clear.
