The pruning saw is able to cut material at any angle, but in everyday life we need most of all cuts at 90 or 45 degrees. It does not always make sense to acquire such a saw for your garage and summer cottage works, only if you have a grandiose work with a lot of material, in all other cases, a set of a large and small grinder will cope with all works.

Cutting a round pipe with a grinder exactly at 90 degrees is not difficult. Marking such a cut is quite simple. I will show you 2 ways.

We need a sheet of paper with an even edge, we wrap a round pipe with it so that this edge makes a full turn with an overlap. This overlap should match exactly, the top layer should lie on the bottom with complete coincidence of the edges. We draw with a pencil or marker along the edge of the paper, and the exact markings for cutting with a grinder at 90 degrees are ready.

There is also an interesting way of marking, for it we need a piece of a corner and a disc from a grinder.

The end of this piece of corner should be cut exactly 90 degrees and both flanges of the cut should be in line.

The corner, if you put it on the pipe, will be in the same axis with it, but the end of the corner will be at 90 degrees to the pipe, this is what we need.

Now we take the disk, and pressing it to the end of the corner, draw a mark on the pipe in a circle.

The markings made by the corner and the disc are even, it remains to carefully saw off along it with a large or small grinder.

Friends, I shot a short video where I showed all the subtleties, let's see and you will have another way to accurately mark a round pipe for a 90-degree cut in your arsenal.
