You can weld a burnt-out muffler of your car with an inverter!

I have done this many times, and then I will tell you the basic rules of this work.

If you are repairing your car with your own hands, you will still remove the burnt-out glushak yourself. And removing the muffler is already half of the work done!

We examine it carefully, because in addition to obvious large holes, there are also barely noticeable ones, they are also will need to be brewed, otherwise they quickly turn into big ones and the sound will become like in sports forward flow!

We thoroughly clean suspicious places with a metal brush and gently tap with a hammer to surely identify places where there is no living metal.

Any muffler has places with thick metal - these are the factory seams themselves, so we will weld new metal to them. You should not try to weld the burnt hole, it is better to cover it with new metal with a margin.

We measure the dimensions of the new workpiece, adjust it in place and start welding.

The welding arc is mainly directed to the new metal, and only a little to the old cleaned one. Welding is performed with a separation, points. We take electrodes with rutile coating, because they are easily re-ignited.

It is best to take metal for patches a millimeter and a half, this thickness is easily adjusted and crimped to give the desired shape

There is no point in cleaning the welding seams, and you can touch the old thin metal with the disk and you will have to make more patch!

So it is quite possible to cook if you have your own welding and desire, well, or a good friend with welding and at least a little experience. It is better not to strain the completely inexperienced with such a request, the work is painstaking and not entirely simple.

Friends, most importantly, I will show in the video the technique of welding thin metal with an electrode, which will help you do such work and not burn it.
