Mineral dressing

To achieve good flowering, roses need to be fed in a timely manner.

The soil on which the roses grow should be rich in phosphorus. It affects the size of the flowers and the number of buds and helps the root system to form. Potassium is also involved in the active formation of healthy buds. In addition, rose bushes need nitrogen-containing substances that contribute to the rapid growth of green mass. The soil in the rose garden should be rich in magnesium, which affects the budding and brightness of the color of the petals, iron, as well as boron and manganese.

Top dressing can be applied in several ways. Most often, dry components are dissolved in a liquid and used for watering or spraying. They also dig a shallow groove around the bush, fill it with fertilizer, which must first be mixed with fertile soil, and sprinkle it with soil. So during watering, the roots will receive adequate nutrition.

To quickly feed a withering rose bush, you can treat it with a solution of mineral fertilizers from a spray bottle.

You need to start fertilizing the rose garden as soon as the snow cover disappears. For this, dry ammonium nitrate is used. For 1 sq. m of area, you need to add 20-30 g of the substance.

To ensure abundant flowering of roses in the last decade of May, it is advisable to use compositions with potassium and phosphorus for fertilizing the soil (dissolve 10 g of superphosphate and potassium sulfate in 10 liters of water).

To normalize the acidity of the soil in the rose garden, you can use wood ash, which is easy to prepare yourself. Experienced growers recommend fertilizing roses with ash the next year after planting. For watering, 100 g of ash sifted through a sieve must be dissolved in 10 liters of water; for spraying, 200 g of ash powder per 10 liters of water will be needed.

Many flower growers prefer to periodically feed their roses with complex mineral fertilizers, such as Agricola Aqua, Buton Plus, Zircon, Pocon, etc. They are easy to use, cheap and effective. Complex fertilizers promote active budding, increase the number and size of flowers and make their color much brighter.

The preparations must be dissolved in water strictly in the proportion indicated on the package and used both for watering and for spraying the stems and leaves of roses.

Organic feed

Among the most popular organic fertilizers are chicken manure. They are encouraged to feed the plants in the spring. It is important to remember that excessive watering can burn the roots, so it is advisable not to exceed the dosage. Fresh poultry droppings must be dissolved in water in a ratio of 1:20, and one that has already been overcooked - 1:10. The mass should be mixed and kept in a warm place for 5 days, and then again diluted with clean water in a ratio of 1: 3. The resulting product can be watered and sprayed on plants.

If cow dung is used, it should be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10, infused for a week, and then diluted again in a 1: 2 ratio.

A simple, but no less effective tool can be made from weeds, tops and grass available in each area. Grind them, fill a large container with them, add a few tablespoons of soda ash and pour warm water. When the mass begins to ferment, it needs to be stirred several times a day. After a week, the solution must be filtered, diluted with water in a ratio of 3:10 and used for foliar feeding.

Periodic fertilization with ordinary yeast is useful for roses - they cause active growth and lush flowering. 10 g dry yeast and 2 tbsp. l. sugar should be dissolved in 10 liters of heated water. After 2 hours, the infusion needs to be diluted with 50 liters of water, water the plants abundantly and immediately sprinkle the soil with sifted wood ash.
