Reasons for transplanting indoor plants according to the lunar calendar

The moon affects the processes that take place inside on Earth. These are ebbs and flows, changes in the magnetic field and even deformation of the surface of the earth's crust. All these influences provoke different weather phenomena (amount of heat, cloudiness, cloud movement, precipitation, pressure, wind direction and speed, etc.). This is reflected in the flora that grows in a particular region. Therefore, it is so important to focus on the movement of the moon and its impact on the Earth when growing plants, even at home.

Indoor cultures, despite the fact that they are relatively isolated from the external environment, are not protected by the walls of the house from climatic changes and also react to them. Closer to summer, they wake up, begin active growth or flowering, and closer to winter they prepare for hibernation, stop multiplying and may even wither if they are not fertilized or transplanted in time.

Indoor plant transplants are carried out not only for aesthetic reasons. This is done in order to change the "setting" for the flower, because it grows out of the pot and becomes cramped for it. But the more important reason lies in the ground. If in the open ground by the new year it manages to accumulate the stock of microelements spent over the summer, then the potting substrate is deprived of this opportunity. The soil is depleted, and the flower has nothing to eat, and fertilization solves this issue only temporarily.

Lunar calendars provide not only for the transplantation of plants, but also provide information on caring for them so that they grow properly. Illustration for this article is used under a standard license © ofazende.com

Lunar calendar for transplanting indoor flowers for 2020

Lunar calendars provide not only for the transplantation of plants, but also provide information on caring for them so that they grow properly. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor both transplanting and watering, fertilizing, pruning, loosening the soil and even favorable days for pest control.

According to the general rules for transplanting, it is not recommended to disturb the plant, even if it is in poor condition, in the winter at the beginning of the year. The flower is dormant, and if you transplant it now, then it will not be able to adapt to the new environment and, possibly, will die. It is better to wait for warming (late February or early March) to change the ground. If in doubt about a crop variety, it is recommended to choose a universal potting soil. The closer the summer is, the bolder you can carry out the transplant. If it comes to autumn and winter, fewer favorable days will come across.
