For the development of plants, potassium humate is used, the composition and application of which are determined by the manufacturing technology. It is based on organic residues. Humates are gradually formed from them.

Manufacturing, properties
Humus is a constituent of the soil that improves its properties. This component is present in soil in varying amounts. It is formed as a result of the decomposition of peat, organic residues, manure or even coal. Humate acts as a bioactivator due to its multicomponent composition. Contains:
- amino acids;
- enzymes;
- peptides;
- growth stimulants;
- natural antibiotics;
- minerals.
Existing types of humate:
- ballast: used to stimulate the development of green spaces of various types;
- ballastless: used instead of feeding.
It is preferable to use potassium humate on depleted soils, which will improve their properties. Fertilizer fully manifests itself in such conditions due to the presence of impurities of the original substrate. For the production of potassium humate, peat and manure are mainly used. A similar substance with slightly different properties (sodium humate) is obtained from coal.
This fertilizer is used for various purposes:
- the need for the use of nitrates disappears or significantly decreases;
- the rate of ripening of the crop increases;
- increases the permeability of planting tissues to accelerate the delivery of nutrients;
- the appearance of the fruit becomes much better, as does the taste;
- plants tolerate negative factors better: drought, frost;
- the growth of roots, the green part of plantings is activated;
- seeds germinate faster;
- increased resistance to infections;
- fruits retain their properties much longer.
At the same time, the structure of the soil improves: it becomes loose, the acidity is normalized.
How to use potassium humate for plant nutrition
The fertilizer can be used for the development of cereals, vegetables, fruit trees, flowers. Various forms are available for sale:
- tablets of 14 g - for application under the root, it is also permissible to prepare a solution, which is subsequently used to irrigate the green part;
- potassium humate paste and gel - fertilizer is used in this form to obtain a quick result;
- liquid concentrate - used for watering the soil, feeding plants in large areas;
- granules, potassium humate powder - add dry or dilute with water.
There are different ways to fertilize plantings. The choice depends on the form of release, the composition and structure of the soil, the state of the plants. Common options:
- 10 l of liquid, 3 g of fertilizer: processing of green mass of plantings is performed, for root feeding, a less concentrated substance is used (1 tbsp. l. liquid agent for 10 liters of water);
- for the pre-planting preparation of plants, a solution is prepared (50 ml of liquid concentrate, 1 l of water), in this tool you need to hold the plants, which will activate internal processes.
Before flowering and the formation of ovaries, a solution is used: 100 ml of liquid potassium humate, 10 liters of water. This amount is sufficient to treat plantings on a 1 m² plot.
