Canned beans in tomato sauce

Required products: - beans - 800 g, - water - 800 g, - sugar - 1.5 tablespoons. spoons, - salt - 0.75 table. spoons, - tomato paste - 250 g, - ground black pepper - according to personal taste.

Cooking method

Almost any sort of beans is suitable for such a preparation. The cooking time will depend on the size of the fruit, as the larger the beans used, the longer they need to be cooked until tender. It is also advisable to pour cold water on the beans before harvesting and let them stand for the whole night. Then it will swell well, and you will (eventually) cook this product much faster.

  • Pour water into a saucepan, place it on the stove and turn on the fire. Then place the beans in the liquid and boil them for about an hour after boiling.
  • While the beans are cooking on the stove top, make the sauce. Pour tomato paste and water at home temperature into a deep bowl. Stir the liquids until they form a homogeneous mixture.
  • Then put sugar, salt and black pepper in it. Mix everything again and completely dissolve these ingredients in the liquid.
  • When the beans are half-cooked in a saucepan, discard them in a colander. Then return the beans to an empty saucepan again and pour the tomato sauce on top of it. Mix everything well, put the pot on the hotplate and turn on the fire. As soon as the workpiece boils, set the heat to the minimum value and, stirring constantly with a spatula, cook for another hour and a half. When the beans are ready (that is, soften), they can be rolled up immediately.
  • For this procedure, we need a jar and a lid. We wash the container and sterilize it in any way convenient for you (steamed, in the microwave or in the oven). Boil the lid separately for 5-10 minutes.
  • Then we transfer the beans from the pan into a heated jar and add the remaining sauce there.
  • Then we turn the can over and wrap it in a blanket, blanket or shawl. And we are waiting for it to completely cool down. Beans in tomato sauce are ready!

Useful advice

Sometimes it happens that tomato sauce evaporates a lot, and there is not enough left. In this case, boil some more water (how much is not enough in the jar). Add tomato paste to this water, stir it and boil it. And then add the resulting mixture to the jar.

Good appetite!
