So, if all the basic conditions are observed, then the shrub planted in the fall will take root better. With this method, yields are increased.

When to plant and recommendations
Here, as a rule, everything depends on the region. In colder areas, it is recommended to plant the shrub at the end of the first month of autumn. In the south, the process can be postponed until October. The seedlings must be planted before the first frost. In different parts of the country, climatic conditions, respectively, differ.
Why is it so important to plant raspberries before the first frost? Saplings may not have time to take root in the ground, and then they will die in winter.
What work is being done on the site?
It takes two years to prepare the soil. Siderates should grow on the site. The place should be well lit and free of drafts.
It so happens that there is no time to wait. Then you can plant raspberries after perennial herbs. The soil is unsuitable after strawberries.
Raspberries grow poorly where there is high acidity. It is recommended to add lime, dolomite to improve the soil structure.
Choosing seedlings correctly
Only healthy seedlings will ensure a good harvest. The plant must be strong. The shoot is about twenty centimeters long and 5 mm in diameter.
The prepared stems are placed in water for two hours, then the dried branches are cut off. After the roots are dipped in a special mullein solution, proportions 1:10.
What methods are used for planting raspberries?
Bush method
Planting in a separate pit is most common. To do this, you need a marking, which is made with twine. The distance between plants should be at least 0.7 m, and the spacing between rows is about 2 meters.
The pits should be 30 * 30 * 30 cm. After that, 5 kg of humus, 25 g of potassium salt, 35 g of superphosphate are added.
The seedling is placed in the middle, the ground is slightly trampled. After the bush, you need to pour water in the amount of five liters.
Tape method
The ropes are pulled from south to north. The row spacing is 2.5 meters. Then a trench is dug, the width and depth of which is 40 cm.
Fertilizers are used the same as for the bush method. The amount is the same, but applied per meter of trench.
The seedlings are placed in the furrow at a distance of 30 to 75 cm.
Before planting, the land must be loosened, after the bush is planted, you need to tamp the soil and water each bush with 0.5 liters of water.
Important
There are varieties that quickly form shoots. These include Meteor, Shosha, Muscona. They need to be planted less often - after 0.5 - 0.75 m. Such varieties as Ottawa, Kenby, Stolichnaya are planted more often - after 0.3 - 0.35 m, since their shoots grow more slowly.
A trellis is placed along the trench to support the bushes.
Saplings and their care
After planting, the berry is cut to a height of 25 cm. A layer of sawdust, hay, or humus helps retain moisture.
Peat will protect the seedlings from frost, but after the first thaw it should be removed. Further, care according to the standard scheme - feeding, watering, pruning, prevention.
