Good afternoon, my reader. Hydrangea is one of the most elegant and airy plants in the garden. Its bushes are famous for their umbrella-shaped inflorescences with large flowers. A lush, healthy bush needs many nutrients that the soil cannot always provide. You don't have to buy expensive hydrangea fertilizer; you can use home remedies as well. Fermented milk products
It is used to strengthen the plant. A simple recipe for which fermented dairy products are needed: kefir, milk whey or fermented baked milk are excellent. They will provide the hydrangea with nutrients - amino acids. The fertilizer is suitable for watering both roots and stems with leaves. For the first option, you need to dilute a liter of fermented milk drink with water in a ratio of 1 to 5. For overground feeding, the solution is made less concentrated - half a liter of drink per 10 liters of water.
Based on potassium permanganate (potassium permanganate)
The main purpose of potassium permanganate is the disinfection of the earth and planting material, the destruction of fungi and diseases. But it also nourishes the roots of the plant with oxygen well, and potassium strengthens the aerial part of the hydrangea, making the branches more flexible. Use only a weak, pale pink solution. When breeding, it is better to gradually add potassium permanganate to the water so as not to damage the bush. The same proportions are suitable for aboveground processing. BUT! The leaves are sprayed only in the spring, after the bush comes out of hibernation.
Based on vinegar and citric acid
Hydrangea is one of the plants that thrive in an acidic environment. Such soil fertilization can be carried out all season, once a month. Dilute vinegar in the ratio of 6 tablespoons to a 10-liter bucket of water. The method of preparing citric acid-based dressings is a little more complicated: you must first dissolve 30 grams in a liter of water, and then pour the entire composition into a bucket of water.
Yeast and Bread Based
Fertilizer contains a lot of nutrients, they help the growth and development of hydrangea. Method of preparation: mix 100 grams of yeast with a tablespoon of sugar and 10 liters of water and leave for a day or two. When the solution ferments, it can be poured over the ground under the bushes. The second option is based on bread. Fill the garden bucket completely with dry bread and chopped grass in a 1/2 ratio and fill the mixture with water. Seal tightly with foil and leave to ferment for 7 days. At the end of the term - strain. The resulting liquid is a concentrated fertilizer. Before watering, it is diluted with water: 5 parts of water are added to 1 part of the concentrate.
Based on ammonia
This fertilizer is required in the spring, when the plant is in great need of nitrogen - it is used only for the ground part. For the solution, dilute 2 tablespoons of alcohol in a bucket of water and spray the plant. After a few days, you can repeat the procedure.
Some fertilizers are easy to use and only require dilution, while some are infused for several days. Which one to choose is up to you, but all feeding recipes are proven, effective means more than once. Most importantly, do not forget to water the plants before such feeding - this way the nutrients will be better absorbed.
