Add the tomatoes

Due to tomatoes, the taste of cauliflower is significantly transformed and made more intense. For cooking, we need tomatoes, cabbage itself and a marinade. The latter is prepared at the rate of one liter of water for three tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of vinegar. Add herbs and garlic if desired.

All vegetables are thoroughly washed, and cabbage is disassembled into individual inflorescences. All tomatoes must be pierced with a toothpick in the area of the stalk. Next, we put tomatoes and cabbage inflorescences in prepared jars to the very top.

Now the cans are filled with boiling water for 30 minutes. This water can then be used to make the marinade. After the first pouring, you need to add a few peas of hot pepper and garlic to the jars. Then fill it with boiled marinade and tighten the lids. The jars should cool down under the covers.

Homemade pickled cabbage

This recipe is notable for its spicy pungency and extraordinary taste. For its preparation, you will need carrots and cabbage, as well as marinade and various spices. The cooking process itself begins with dividing the cabbage into individual inflorescences, which must be thoroughly washed.

After that, we put water on the gas and bring it to a boil, adding citric acid in the process at the rate of 1 g per 1 liter. You will also need 25 g of salt. We lower the inflorescences into the boiling brine and cook for literally 3-4 minutes, after which we take them out with a slotted spoon.

Put a few peppercorns, cloves, a small piece of cinnamon and a couple of bay leaves on the bottom of the prepared jars. Now lay out the cabbage inflorescences, which are interspersed with carrots cut into circles.

As a marinade, brine is suitable, in which we boiled the inflorescences. You just need to add a tablespoon of sugar to it and boil for 8 minutes. After that, fill our cans with this composition and roll them up with lids.

The last recipe is a delicious cauliflower salad. To prepare it you will need:

  • cabbage - 2 kg;
  • bulgarian pepper - 1 kg;
  • carrots - 1 kg;
  • zucchini - 2 pcs.;
  • garlic - 1 head;
  • hot pepper - optional;
  • tomato juice - 1 liter;
  • salt - 3 tbsp. spoons;
  • vinegar - 1 tbsp. the spoon.

The first step is to thoroughly rinse all the vegetables. Cabbage is sorted into inflorescences, zucchini, carrots and peppers are cut into strips. The garlic must be pressed through a press. Now all the ingredients (except the vinegar) are placed in a saucepan and brought to a boil. The vegetables should be cooked in tomato juice for about 25 minutes. After that, you can add vinegar and remove the finished salad from heat after 5 minutes.

The contents of the saucepan are laid out in prepared jars and tightened with lids. Next, the salad must be cooled under a blanket and stored in the cellar until it is consumed.

We hope that these simple recipes will reveal to you the taste and benefits of cauliflower in a new way, which is quite simple to harvest for the winter under spinning.
