  • long flowering;
  • variety in the height of the bushes;
  • abundant flowering;
  • do not require care after planting in the ground.

Zinnia species

Usually, Russian gardeners use two types of plants: narrow-leaved zinnia and graceful, on the basis of which breeders have developed new varieties. Their variety allows you to create an interesting design on the site.

Planting and leaving

The flower is thermophilic and adores sunlight. The plant does not tolerate frost and cold weather. The soil for good development is selected neutral, enriching it with nutrients. When planted on the sunny side, the draft protected flower is very well received and grows. Watering must be dosed, because the plant does not like either drought or overflow.

Planting a plant

The flower is propagated by seed through the preparation of seedlings. The fact is that the plant does not tolerate even small frosts, so sowing is done indoors in early April. The seeds are buried 1 cm into the ground and kept at a temperature of 21-25 ºС. When the seedling is too stretched, it is buried. Plants are planted in spring in warm soil at a distance of 30-40 cm from each other.

Designing with Zinnias

Usually, flowers are planted in flower beds or placed on the site in a specific order. They look especially interesting when planted in a group, when varieties with different flowers are mixed. Zinnia stains give the site design an elegant and beautiful look.
